Dr. Lucy Massullo-La Perna, DO

I was diagnosed with multiple blood clots (including PE in both lungs and Thrombosis in my right leg) at the "old" age of 41. Dr. LaPerna has been wonderful to work with!! She is great at explaining how my clots work/heal as well as how the medicine works - I love her analogies - makes it so simple for a visual learner like myself to comprehend. She takes her time to make sure that I get all of my questions answered too. I highly recommend her!!

I went to Dr La Perna for Botox and she suggested she also inject some Voluma in my cheeks. It was injected too high and I was also left with a lump on one cheek. I had a business trip scheduled the next morning and I looked like I had been hit in the face on one side due to the swelling under one eye. I was fortunate to find a board certified dermatologist in California who was able to dissolve some of the voluma but I am still left with dark circles under my eyes that make me look tired all of the time. I called Dr La Perna from California, but she treated me like it was my fault and offered very little support. Beware of doctors who are "branching" out of their area of specialty and also beware of unsolicited treatment suggestions.

My wait in the waiting room was very short. She did take her time with me and answered all of my questions and was very caring. I would recommend her.

Dr. Laperna was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and gave a frank assessment that was based on my backgound, which was fairly knowledgable. In all her dealings with me, she explained what was happening, how she was progressing in the procedure, and what was going to happen. I was very favorably impressed with Dr. Laperna, and would recommend her to anyone needing her services.

My first encounter with Dr. Laperna was in the hospital and tought I would loose my leg...after much deliberation with the other Male Drs. she won and was right on the money with her diagnosis...I only lost part of my toe. I was elated! She is my hero
