Dr. Luis Antonio Jovel Escobar, MD

I actually liked this Dr but could no longer tolerate his rude & uncaring staff.

This Dr. and his PA and nurse are the most professional, caring and helpful of any medical care folks we have been with in 58 years. We are 79 and 80 and all our children went to Dr.Jovel when they lived in St. Pete. They often say they wish we could find Dr. like Dr. J. where we live now. Go here with confidence that you will be well cared for.

Dr. Jovel is an excellent primary care doctor. I find his most important skill as a doctor is as a diagnostician. As a patient in general, I appreciate his patience, his generosity with his time. I never feel rushed, he listens very carefully to what I say. He obviously manages his office staff well because they also are patient, welcoming and very good at their jobs. They never seem like "gatekeepers". My calls are returned promptly; questions for the doctor are answered; appointments are scheduled in a timely manner. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Jovel to turn to when I need medical assistance. I recommend him with no reservations . He is a talented, kind, caring physician. My family is so fortunate to be under his care and, again, I recommend him with no reservation .

My 86 yr old mother has followed Dr J for 20+ years - When she was diagnosed w/stage 4 melanoma he spent 4 tireless months finding her a great surgical team - the others sent her off w/a death sentence - Expertise, thorough & caring services all those years - Thankfully, I don't have to share a waiting room with you!

D r. Jovel is hands-down the best doctor my husband and I have ever had. He is a good listener and asks the right questions that other docs skip. He is very conservative in his practice and doesn't jump to drastic quick fixes like many do nowadays. He focuses on healthy practices, not just pills. We are in our 80s and take fewer pills than most of our friends and everyone says we look 10 years younger than we are. I trust Dr. Jovel. That is the best thing anyone can say about their MD.

Dr Jovel and his assistants have given my wife and me exceptional care . Their attention to details and follow up is impressive. A caring and knowledgable Doctor.

Our two sons and both my husband and I have been patients of Dr. J. for as long as he has been at 2323 1st. Ave. N., He is professional, caring and always takes the time to listen to everything we have to say. His nurse, P.A. and other staff are the best we have ever found. (We are in our late 70s), so we have seen a few. We always leave our appmts. feeling like we have received quality care. Our only concern is that he does not see us when we are in the hospital. But he always co-ordinates our care.

you are one of the most inadequet and non dedicated docs. i have been to. i find you lazy, not caring about the patient. you write the whole time and do not listen to the patient neither are you cooperative in their care. you are very contrary and behave like a dictator instead of a doctor. you are a pleasant guy but a lazy doctor. i give you 1 star.
