Dr. Luis Nathaniel Lopez, DDS

I visited Harvard School of Dental Medicine seeking care because I need extensive dental work, including implants, and was hoping for a more affordable option through a teaching institution. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Luis Lopez was extremely disappointing. From the start, I made it clear that I have significant anxiety around dental procedures. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, Dr. Lopez came across as dismissive and rude. He repeatedly emphasized how much he charges at his private clinic (mentioning $10,000 per implant) and spoke in a way that felt more intimidating than informative, especially given the already overwhelming nature of my situation. When I mentioned possibly completing some of the work in my home country to reduce costs, he shut the idea down in a very abrupt and condescending manner, bringing up FDA approvals without taking the time to explain things respectfully or thoughtfully. I fully understand there may be valid medical or institutional… reasons for certain limitations, but the delivery was unnecessarily harsh and lacked basic compassion. Overall, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and discouraged at a time when patients need reassurance and clear communication the most. I hope the school places greater emphasis on bedside manner and patient sensitivity, especially when dealing with individuals facing complex and costly dental care.

This dentist is a pervert. While he is working, he discreetly begins to touch your breasts, making it look like an accident. He also makes many comments that make you feel uncomfortable. I'm never going back to this dentist. Very inappropriate behavior.
