15 months ago I had to have 6 more levels fused and it was disastrous. The minute I woke up from surgery I had numbness in my right upper leg. I was told this was normal and would resolve. During surgery Dr. Mignucci tore the dura (spinal leak) and I had to lay on my back for the first 48 hours post op. I was never informed the consequences of the leak. At every follow up Brian PA assured me the numbness and now pain in my right upper leg was “normal after surgery and would go away. Fast forward to 8 months ago. Because of continuing severe back pain and the right leg problem I went to see a different neurosurgeon. He said I had broken hardware and question why Dr. Mignucci had taken so much bone out of critical areas in my back. He said my back was very unstable, and I had to have a revision of. T10-S1. He told me that the dural tear and manipulation of the nerve root was most likely why I had the numbness , weakness and stinging of my right upper leg. He informed me that although he… needed to do the revision he could not guarantee he could fix the nerve problem in my right leg as he thinks it was permanently damaged. After the second surgery the back pain is better, but the leg is still weak. An EMG of my right leg did show motor and sensory damage to my leg which was permanent. I do not recommend Dr. Mignucci or his staff as they wete negligent in my healthcare. I have been in physical therapy for six months. His mistake caused me depression and anxiety and has cost me thousands of dollars out of my pocket. I made a formal complaint 4 months ago to Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison, Texas, and they have yet to contact me with results.

Dr. Mignucci was recommended to me by my brother-in-law who had successful neck surgery performed by Dr. Mignucci. Dr. Mignucci operated on my neck. I was in excruciating pain before surgery. I was awake 22 hours out of 24 hours due to pain. Strong pain killers such as Hydrocodone wouldn't alleviate the pain. He installed a titanium plate in my neck, shaved off a bone spur, and took bone material out of my hip bone and inserted it in my neck to replace the degenerated disc. Dr. Mignucci told me I would wake up pain free other than the incision sites. He was correct, I woke up pain free. The stabbing neck pain was gone! I was back to riding my horses within two months and competing in horse competitions within six months. He is a brilliant and gifted doctor. I can't thank him enough.

I had brain surgery with Dr Mignucci and am fully recovered today. I am here today because of him! The office staff was terrible and the waits were very long (sometimes hours). In the end though the pro's outweigh the con's.

The staff members here are terribly unprofessional, especially Isabel. The billing department, front office & PA staff are inefficient. The PA's do not return messages. Doctor Mignucci ought to pay closer attention to his staff members and his operation here if his goal is to have a professional representation of himself and his business. If your staff members are telling your patients they cannot touch base with you that is 100% complete nonsense, not to mention it's downright disrespectful with all the money they dish out for your services! Further - you should not be treating patients like a payphone, meaning they will be billed gross amounts of money if they exceed even 1 min over your set "20 min" rule for all your appointments... No thank you.

Its been 4 years since surgery - 360 Lumbar fusion at three levels. Dr Mignucci is top in his field and came recommended by another spine doctor, whom I personally know from childhood. My surgery was a success and it does take time to heal and physical therapy. Dr Colon, pain management and all of Dr Mignucci's staff are top notch. I recommend him to all my friends and would never recommend any others for surgery.

Dr. Mignucci is the only neurosurgeon that I would ever let touch my back. Him and his PA, Bryan are extremely knowledgeable and caring. We also appreciate Lupe, and all the staff. When any of my friends complain of back problems, I always say " See Dr. Mignucci. He's kept me going for over 12 years. This is from my heart, I don't use artificial compliments or false remarks.

I visited two doctors and was not comfortable with them so went to Dr. Mignucci many years ago. I knew the minuite I visited him I was at peace with my issue and trusted he would be the one to help me. I was so right! I have sent many patients to him and will continue to recommend him.
