Dr. Luis Fernando Tobon Esguerra, MD

I have heard wonders about Dr. Tobon and I changed doctor’s to go see him. I spoke to the staff twice before my appointment and not even once they mentioned their no kids allowed policy. I drove 1 hr to see him and I came with my little one that I could’ve easily left home but since nobody explained this to me I brought her. The office was empty and yet I was denied medical attention. That was the end of what I thought would be a positive experience!

I have followed Dr. Tobon for the last 7 years because I trust his knowledge and I like his bedside manners. I did not like his former practice but I am in love with his new office on Semoran. Early this summer I called the office and the receptionist answered the phone right away, schedule my annual exam and his staff is very kind and helpful, the office is beautiful and relaxing and he, as always, takes the time to explain and listen to my concerns. Give it a try to his new office: Ob/Gyn Ultrasound on Semoran Blvd.

The hardest thing ever is to reach them over the phone! I'm pregnant, I fainted twice, and it was a hassle to speak to one of the doctors. The wait time is ridiculous! I have recently changed doctors, who asked them for my medical records a week ago, and have not received anything. Also, my new doctor has asked me if I have performed tests and exams like a pap, which Obgyn of greater Orlando never asked for! Also, I couldn't get the genetic testing done, because by the time they gave me the order for the lab, it was too late for me to perform the test. Bear in mind that I had been with them since 6 weeks of pregnancy, so there was plenty of time for them to order all of requested testing. Also, I did my midprenancy ultrasound, and when I went to their office about a month later, they told me they didn't have the report, which I had access to weeks before myself, so I don't understand how they didn't have it! Dr. Tobon is very nice, but these issues were a huge turn down!

I went with dr. Tobon because I had a urine infection. Then the nurse Giovana called and told me that I need to take an antibiotic for my uti. After one week I still have symtond so called her and she told that is normal that the antibiotic is working. I said that I probably needed something else and she said no. Finally I finished in emergency room with an kidney infection!!!.....because this nurse probably made a mistake I didn't give the correct antibiotic. And I called her several time to let the doctor know but she was really unprofessional. Really bad experience the doctor is good but you see all the troubles i had! She lied to the manager too telling that she repeat the treatment and wasn't true. I believed that she made I mistake with the urine sample or I don't what! For this reason I had to change my doctor.
