She was great. Very knowledgeable, kind, communicated and had a plan for my issues

One incident in the past, she failed to show up for a tele-visit or to communicate through her staff that she wasn't available. We eventually reached another staff member and she did call a few hours later. This is not at all characteristic of Dr Iles-Shih. She is normally prompt, extremely communicative and efficient during our visits. We are extremely grateful to have her attending our healthcare needs! Honestly, she's amazing!

My experience with this provider has always been excellent. My concern is not with my provider, but with the lack of access to communicate through MyChart.I was able to request and receive a prescription refill, but I was unable to send my provider a message through MyChart to provide feedback about how the medication was working or discuss any concerns. That represents a significant gap in care. If a patient can refill and take a medication but cannot communicate with the prescribing provider, continuity of care is compromised.I was told this occurred because of Swedish Hospital policy related to the amount of time since my last visit. I have an ongoing chronic condition that does not always require an in-person appointment but does require the ability to communicate with my provider as needed. Restricting access to MyChart messaging based solely on policy does not support effective management of chronic conditions or continuity of care.I value the care my provider has consistently… given me, but I believe this policy should be reconsidered to better support ongoing communication between patients and their healthcare providers.

Dr Iles-Shih, Is an exceptional doctor and a wonderful person. She listens carefully, is very knowledgeable and offers guidance and solutions. She is very smart. Her advice is well thought out and applicable to my situation.

Dr Iles Shih is well versed in her field. I appreciate her listening and understanding my concerns with certain medications. She explained the differences in them and helped me decide the best choice for my care moving forward.

Dr Iles-Shih is the best doctor that I have on my care team. She always sees me, and thinks about my care plan, in terms of my whole self, not just my Crohn's disease.

I adore Dr. Lulu Iles-Shih! She began a course of treatment that took my health from disastrous to doing really well, and I'm forever in her debt. She's well-informed and a great problem-solver, admirably free of the arrogance I've sometimes detected from others in her specialty. I have the sense (based on how hard it is to get an in-person appt with her) that the system keeps her busier than would be ideal.
