Dr. Burse is an amazing Doctor I have been his patient since 2002 ..When he was at Baptist Med Center. He has been very helpful to me and I look forward to seeing him 05/05/2026 Dr. Burse is the best and have completed procedures and made sure it was pain-free. Thank you Dr. Burse You have been the same since 2002 you are the same kind spirit as I met in 2002.. Dr. Burse has treated me for 24 years. Throughout that time, he has always remained patient, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable. He doesn't just treat symptoms; he understands the person behind them. If you are looking for a doctor who offers both high-level skill and long-term commitment, Dr. Burse is the one doctor I trust ..When ever my doctors start talking gastro I call Dr. Burse. .... I was referred to Dr. Burse from a friend. On the first visit the staff was nice, the doctor seemed thorough. He ordered labs, stool testing, and an ultrasound. I was given trial medication. I was told that I would receive a call once he received the results. I was never called, I had to call the office for my results. I was told that my labs for the most part were normal but a few enzymes were elevated and that I needed an EGD. I eventually got the EGD and was told that I would hear from the doctor in 10-14 days after the procedure. I never heard from the doctor. I called on day 10 and was told by staff that the results could still be pending. I called on day 14 and I was told that the doctor would return my call. His nurse called me back the same day apologizing because she realized that the doctor never returned my call and that my chart had been signed off on by the doctor. She told me that I had mild stomach inflammation and she promised that she would have the doctor return my… call. I have now been leaving messages with no response for 8 days. I still have symptoms and questions. I have not received results, or a diagnois and treatment plan. I have made an appointment because I want to finish what I started. After this appointment, I will not return to the office.

Excellent physician. Had endoscopies and colonoscopy. Painless and caring. Highly recommend.

I get it. He's a busy doctor, covering multiple practices. He has an office in the Emory Midtown Tower so one would assume he's great at what he does. That has not been my experience. His office is completely disorganized. On multiple occasions I've come in for a visit and my results from a recent test were either missing from the chart or so scattered that he couldn't find it. Once he even recommended a test for me that we had already done. His receptionist recognizes me by face, that's how many times I've seen this man. The sweet man that always answers the phone knows who I am without even pulling up my chart. So why can't Dr. Burse seem to keep my medical information straight? You schedule an apt for 9:45am and you'll ever get in before 10:15am if you're lucky. You see him for 5 minutes and then that's it. He is thorough in suggesting testing and trying to get to the bottom of things but mostly I feel like he just keeps throwing prescriptions at me hoping one of them will stick and… I'll go away. Also, one of his nurses tried to ask if I could get her a discount once she found what I did for a living - literally 2 seconds after I told her how sick I was feeling. Way inappropriate.

Dr. Burse should really consider getting rid of his office manager. I found that she was rude and unprofessional. I felt rushed when I met with Dr. Burse and the staff just assumed that I would be using his services during the consulation. You would think that anyone in the healthcare profession would have a bedside manner that was helpful and caring....not at this office.
