Dr. Lyle Dean Griffith I, MD

Dr. Lyle Dean Griffith treated me in 2017 while in jail and after I was realeased, thanks to God and him I’m alive today. I will never be able to pay this debt.

God must have sent me to him - i went to 3 doctors and each suggested the same.... Dr. griffith was the only one that found and knew how to fix it, had the procedure and now i live a health new life. He is the greatest... i give him all 5 star

Horrible doctor. My mother came in with no pain at all to see this doctor, and he did an operation which other specialist have now told us was unnecessary. never explained to my mom what he was doing and why, and obviously didn't explain it to my father or me. Left her a giant scar (from hip to hip). Very painful surgery and recovery. Horrible results; new pain she wasn't experiencing before, chronic pain, burning sensation. My mother cant ever mop the floor of her home now. Does not know how to treat people with respect; very rude, inconsiderate. Outdated methods, PAINFUL METHODS. Ugly and old office, very unprofessional. Took money from my mothers private insurance and also took a couple thousand from us. The hospital in Bakersfield where the surgery was performed looked like a scary movie. After the surgery my mother came in with these new pains to see him and ask why she was feeling so HORRIBLE, and when he walked in the room he was mad, and very rude threatening asking if my… father was going to complain or sue him, and told them my mother needed to get over the pain and simply gave her an ibuprofen. He is a HORROR. DO NOT LET THIS MAN NEAR YOU OR A LOVED ONE! SAVE YOURSELF IF YOU'RE READING THIS WONDERING IF HE'S THE DOCTOR FOR YOU..... RUN! (he doesn't even deserve the one star, but google says i need to give him at least one)

Do not go here! Dirty, has terrible tremors, and messed up a simple vasectomy that i had to go back and get two more surgeries to fix! Has no communication skills and short term memory loss!

I would never go back to him again. I should have known something was wrong when on both occasions I was there I was the only one in the waiting room. Not only does he not have hospital privileges in Fresno, Tulare, Kings or Kern counties. He has a hand tremor and ask me 4 times where I lived What difference does that make? Did not check to see if my bladder was empty before doing a procedure. I went to his office to get the results of the test, he never did give me an answer. He's considering a open burch for me but wouldn't tell me what that was. I got second opinion only to find out there was nothing wrong with me and do a follow up in a year. THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO HIM, PLEASE.

Dr. Griffith yelled at his staff and when I asked him a question about my upcoming surgery.

This doctor is nuts. Whatever you do cancel seeing him.

Dr. Griffith appears to have an anger problem. I observed Dr. Griffith viciously verbally attack staff and patients while at his office.

My mother(40 yrs old; no medical history) has a kidney stone and had been seen in Hanford by Dr. Griffith, her first procedure was held in Madera. In an attempt to relieve the stone he inserted a stent in hopes that she'd pass it. She did not and was scheduled for another surgery in Bakersfield at the Good Samaritan hospital.. This was honestly the worst hospital i have ever been in, the staff was terrible and I'll explain how her stay went. When the nurses were prepping her for surgery, they poked her three times to find a vein. In her hand they missed yet continued to wiggle around the plastic casing in her skin to try and hit the vein. After th nurse became frustrated she removed it. Automatically bruised my moms hand, then they tried her forearm, and missed. The nurses blamed the incompetence on my mothers "fasting and the Cold room" and kept telling her "you must've forgotten to pack your veins today". Which makes no sense to me seeing as how she's never had a problem before… with her veins and has fasted and been kept in cold prepping stations in previous surgeries with no complications.. During the surgery the doctor attempted to locate the stone with a special scope and couldn't find it, he then proceeded to open her kidney and search for it. My mother ended up with 16 staples and a kidney stone. His two attempts to find the stone have failed. She will have a huge scar on her abdomen for the rest of her life and no results. His next plan was now to keep her in the hospital over night and put her on some new medicine that would "dissolve the stone"... (Why he didn't do this after the first procedure I haven't the slightest clue!) she woke up hours later very lethargic and sedated on morphine. While we were there I witnessed a male CNA attempt to take her temp. While she was asleep! She woke up to him trying to stick a thermometer into her mouth and she jumped. He didn't say anything to her before or gently reach out to her to wake her! Nothing. Then another nurse came in and began arguing with him right in front of us over paperwork. Because the surgery was in Bakersfield and we expected a quick outpatient surgery neither of us were prepared to stay, I drove home that night (an hour and a half away) and leaving her there alone after seeing how they acted I knew it would be a mistake (there'd also be no where in the room to stay, it was a shared space with two hospital beds and an expected roommate) I left her for the night and returned in the morning. Upon returning my mother told me that she had needed to go to the restroom and that a caregiver came in, unhooked her IV and walked out of the room.. My mother had 16 staples in her abdomen and should not have had to get herself out of bed without any help from these people, yet she did.. All in all the staff was the worst group of people I have ever seen, they didn't care about her comfort or her at all. This is the third review I've written for this doctor and this hospital because it was so bad that I want everyone to really reconsider sticking with this doctor.. I'm praying that this dr can finally get it right with the meds he prescribed and she heals correctly so that no legal action has to be taken against this man.

Griffith and his male nurse talked me into a penial implant, which was the biggest mistake i've ever made. They both assured me it was 100% natural. I regret trusting in this doctor.
