Dr. Lynette Cederquist, MD

The three adjectives that come to mind that would describe Dr. Cedarquist are dismissive, rude and obtuse. I think it is a real shame when medical professionals don’t even try to hide their disdain for their profession and patients. It took a lot of courage to discuss my symptoms with her and I left her office disappointed, hopeless and frustrated.

I really like her and felt she not only was very thorough, but spent more time with me than I expected.

Lynette treats patients like criminals, she is so in the box she will put you in a box.

I read just one review prior to seeing her and it was bad. Wish I had taken that patient's advice! Doesn't listen, assumes everyone coming to see her is trying to get narcotics (and when you tell her you actually DON'T want them, that you are looking for some other way to treat your pain, she'll still go on to lecture you about why you shouldn't take them, you know - the ones you just said you didn't want). She doesn't offer practical solutions, but acts as though she is by talking about all of the treatments you already know about and tried. When you throw out ideas about somewhat less mainstream treatments, she states that she does not offer them. You go to see her because she is a pain specialist, so you expect her to be able to offer treatments and ideas beyond what your family doctor can (or what any average person knows just from watching the drug commercials on TV!). Not the case. Save your time and money. Stick with your family doctor, or find a true specialist affiliated… with a university research center that is up on new treatments and ideas, and willing to "think outside the box".
