Dr. Lynn A Bowlby, MD

Dr. Bowlby needs some coaching in her bedside manor. She is extremely curt and makes me feel like I'm a bother. During my new patient appointment I sat there for an hour and half and the first thing she said before she sat down or introduced herself was "We have 15 minutes." It is not easy to open up to her due to the fact she is constantly focused on how much or (really how little) time is left and talks down to me like I'm an idiot. She seems like she has zero passion for her job and I feel like she can't wait to be done with me. I honestly think she needs a vacation or a career change, and I have really great insurance that is paying her a whole lot.

Did not listen to me, nor did she follow up on a chronic issue. I had to find another doctor. She does work with poor and under-insured which is very nobel, but she does not seem to treat poorer patients the same way she would if one of Duke's famous clients were in her office. Not acceptable.
