Dr. Lynn Marie Simpson, MD

I am rating the staff as one because though the checkin is easy the lady sitting at the counter for appointments has attitude as though she is doing a favor to patients giving them appointments. It shows on her face that she is disinterested in the job. I give the doctor's punctuality a 1 ( I wish I could give it a zero!) because the doctor makes you wait at least half hour( or at least she did it to me) at appointments. She is not at all helpful because apart from simple text book pregnancies she can't do much as an ObGyn, absolutely useless according to my experience. When she knew I was high risk she did not do anything to prevent my loss at 8 weeks when something could have been done. She has the most horrible bedside manner for any doctor I have seen so far. She is always in a hurry trying to get in the next patient, it shows on her face that she doesn't like to be asked questions and if you ask one she will minimalize your concerns. I will never go back to her again and if you… are reading this review trust me, do yourself a favor and run as far away as possible from her!!

This Dr. pulled my daughter out by her arm after she got stuck instead of opting for a C-Section, and broke her arm and didn't even come back to check on her or myself after it happen.

I do not question Dr Simpson's knowledge as a doctor. She diagnosed me with something I did not know I had, but she does not communicate well and does not like questions. I had 3 or 4 visits with her leaving frustrated every time. I decided to switch to a new doctor

I have seen her for about 4-5 years now, and she comes in does the exam very quick asks if you have any questions and leaves. I had asked about alternative forms of birth control and she handed me a paper and left. She is not personable and does not help with any questions or concerns.

I feel Dr. Simpson is very competent, but is not really all that friendly unless you initiate. She wants you to ask questions, otherwise she won't really tell you much at all. I always felt I didn't know what I needed to be asking about. So we barely talked through my whole pregnancy.

I have a lot of challenges as a patient. I have several health problems, and it is hard to tell what is sometimes causing my symptoms. Dr. Simpson was very careful in accurately diagnosing me and had a good understanding of my other conditions- probably better than the specialists I see them for. I am a survivor of sexual assault, and she and her staff have been VERY sympathetic to that- I have healed a lot through their caring. Her communication is excellent- I am a very nervous patient, and have a lot of questions- she happily answers all of them. I never get the feeling that she is impatiently doing so. She really cares that you understand what is going on. You are NOT just a number as her patient. If only all doctors were like this!

I have been a patient of Dr. Simpson's for almost 12 yrs now. There are several doctors in the practice, and they definitely schedule out 3 mos for annual/routine procedures, so you need to be proactive in scheduling.I have always been impressed with Dr. Simpson's thoroughness and followup - she has personally called me with results after procedures, etc. I have recommended her to 2 friends during their pregnancy. I would agree that she is direct and straight-forward, very matter of fact regarding what you need to know.

We have been seeing Dr. Simpson for general GYN for over a year. Overall she was a good doctor in terms of science (in our case we did not need much science though other than general GYN, so I can not judge the science much) but in terms of appointments and human-to-human relations the experience is not that good. In two consecutive appointments, the doctor seems to squeeze in other business before us. We arrived on time filled up the necessary paper work and then have been told that the doctor has a procedure in the hospital. Half an hour later in one time and an hour and a half later in the next we waited for the doctor to come to her appointment with us. In the most recent instance my wife and I went for her first prenatal appointment, we have been called by a smiling staff (not the doctor staff though!) to wait in a room for the doctors nurse. After 15 mins of waiting the nurse came over and *ordered* us to go to the doctor office although she might noticed that my wife was tired… from waiting and nauseated. We went to the doctor office waited and waited and all of the sudden the doctor has another patient next door!! this seemed very weird and unexplainable. We decided to leave the doctor with her patient and leave.

Dr.Simpson is a great direct. She is very honest, and direct. When it comes to c-sections she is swift and professional. She delivered my two boys, and made sure we were all okay. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Simpson delivered both of my boys, as natural child birth. She was an excellent listener and very proactive with my care. She will tell you the facts, and not allow you to get caught up in the emotional worries, and will get done what is most importantly for you. She is a great listener and very direct.
