Horrible experience!! I was establishing as a new patient, looking for a neurologist close to me. I’ve been in their care since my stroke in 2021. Dr. Wang doesn’t listen and shows no compassion. When telling her the residual symptoms I have from a left thalamus stroke she told me my issues are from old age….I’m 64. I requested a scan of my carotid artery because I haven’t had one in 1-1/2 years. She reluctantly ordered the scan but said my artery isn’t blocked. I had the scan two days later, showing a 70% blockage…up from 55%. She literally said that I never had a stroke!! She was looking at a scan from Denton Regional that misdiagnosed me. I went to UT Southwestern and they saw it immediately in my scan. When I asked her to pull my records from there she said there was no need. I’ve been referred to a vascular surgeon due to the CT Scan results and will look for another neurologist!!

I was referred to Dr. Wang by my chiropractor since I was continuing to have sensory symptoms after receiving spinal decompressions for my neck and back. My chiropractor spent WAY more time evaluating me than Dr. Wang did. She told me she thought I needed to see a rheumatologist because I could have fibromyalgia, and she said she didn't understand why I was referred to her... even though I was having numbness, tingling, and burning sensations in additiont to balance issues. She told me if I was really concerned she would order MRIs for me. Of course I said yes, please do. My MRI revealed serious cervical stenosis at C5 and C6. During my follow up she told me she didn't think my stenosis was causing my arm and hand weakness, and again told me I should see a rheumatologist for possible fibromyalgia. I will be getting a second opinion from a neurosurgeon. I will say that her assistant is amazing! He showed so much concern and I felt like he really did care. Unfortunately, she did not show… me the same compassion and care.

Dr. Wang can be characterized by condescending and incapable of listening. My consultation was mediocre at best. Like most narcissistic doctors she was uninterested in my problems or my symptoms, which is ironic seeing how that's the most crucial part of visit, arguably the sole reason appointments exist to begin with. It was clear that she had no intention of actually wanting to help me. To her, I was not a patient but cash, or better yet, someone to flex her "old hag" authority on.

I accompanied my 92 year old mother to a visit with Dr. Wang for help with terrible and relentless restless leg symptoms. The doctor was very unsympathetic and said that there was a large mental illness component to mom's problems and that she could not help at all because she was not a psychiatrist. She did no assessment of my mother's physical well-being and was no help at all. She does have a warm and caring physician's assistant.
