Dr. Lyubov Olenina, MD

Dr. Lyubov Olenina has horrible bedside manner. I cried on the way home from feeling disrespected. I felt she had a cold and condescending attitude. Trying to get any useful advice or information was like pulling teeth. Frustrating waste of time.

I love Dr Olenina. She takes the time to listen. Great bedside manner.

If she was such a good doctor why did Willis Knighton terminate her contract ?

I’ve been seeing Dr Olenina for almost a year as she be on my insurance plan. However she will only write synthroid which be expensive to me. I had read that she gets paid by the drug companies to write synthroid. Doesn’t she make enough without getting kickbacks for selling certain drugs ? I switched doctors and glad I did

A very good doctor, I trust Dr. Olenina with my medical well being. I have Hypothyroidism, and have been seeing her for my care for over a year.

Didn’t like her attitude at all

There is a comment on here from another patient that paints a very unreal picture of Dr. Olenina. I have been her patient for 3 years now and I have never once been unsure that she is the most knowledgeable endocrinologist in town. I too was previously on the natural T3 hormones before coming to see Dr. Olenina. According to the AACE guidelines (that is the American Association of Endocrinologist), the so called "natural" T3 medications are uncontrollable as they are made from ANIMAL hormones, usually pigs. The synthetic T3 hormones are the same levels every time you take them and have been far more effective in gaining a consistent control over my thyroid levels. Dr. Olenina spent time explaining to me exactly why she encouraged me to switch and though hesitant at first, I do not regret the decision at all. I feel better than I ever have and I am NOT on sythroid, I actually take the generic since it is cheaper. I hope that if you are struggling to get control you would give my doctor… a chance for yourself.

I question the legitimacy this woman's medical degree. She did not appear intelligent. She called a pituitary thyroid hormone by a brand name, Synthroid, vs. the actual physiological hormone that it is, T4. Because I take natural supplements to compensate for deficits of naturally occurring hormones that my body stopped producing due to a brain injury, all levels based on professional lab work, she basically (ludicrously) accused me of using recreational DRUGS. She completely discriminated against me for my disability. I have, with extreme challenges overcome by sheer faith and perserverence, a bedridden condition which she insisted on undoing by mandating conditions of being my doctor required that I go back on Synthroid that was a 14 year treatment failure for me with 14 years of detrimental effects to my health. She stated that she writes one drug only, Synthroid, regardless of oath or patient history. She REFUSED to review my medical history I brought with. Also, she stated that… she ONLY treats thyroid. Endocrinology is technically a practice that treats the entire endocrine system, i.e. Adrenals, Diabetes, and more. From her own mouth, she made it emphatically clear that she works for Sybthroid, not the patient and not in compliance with the Hippocratic oath. Thank goodness I had the sense to walk out of a potential malpractice situation, but I am deeply concerned for patients with less medical savvy will be harmed by this woman. To top it off, this woman will bill my insurance for this fraudulent visit.

Dr. Olenina was delightful. She is very thorough answer I was comfortable talking about my concerns with her. I highly recommend her.
