Dr. Lyzette E. Velazquez, MD

I love Dr Velazquez. She is very educated and compassionate. I’ve seen her every 3 months for over 2 years and highly recommend her.

I am not sure where things went wrong, but when this doctor treated my wife an antagonistic relationship quickly developed between Dr. and patient. This doctor was even antagonistic towards me when I walked into the examination room on her invitation. After one visit this doctor said “I have nothing for you“ and sabotaged our attempt to see another neurologist in the riverside neurology practice. Meanwhile my wife was abandoned in extreme suffering, by this heartless caregiver.

I had two appointments with Dr. Velazquez. At the first appointment, I was taken back by her condescending communication with me. I am a senior citizen several years her elder and have had many sessions with doctors throughout my lifetime. I have never been treated or talked to in a manner that she talked to me. She talked to me like I was a child being reprimanded, very disrespectful. To this day I can see no reason why. I mentioned this to one of the staff in the office and they told me that it was because of her culture. I would have accepted this for the first visit but at my second and last visit ever, she treated me worse, shouting at me for no reason that I can understand, as I never believed any doctor in this country would be allowed to operate this way. Besides being humiliated in the examining room, I was very embarrassed leaving as I know everyone in the neurology department could hear this. I have always had the most respect for all doctors and have never made a… complaint or had any reason to complain before this encounter. All I can say is that I have nothing to gain by writing this except to hope that someone else is not subjected to this type of treatment.

My review for Dr. Lyzette Velazquez is that she is the blessing from the LORD @ The Westchester Medical, Hudson Valley, for neurology.

Dr Velazquez was an excellent dr.... I'm sorry that she moved because I'm from the bronx so thats kind of far to travel but if I have to I would do it

Doctor strolls in about 9:25 and Our appt. was for 9am there were 4 patients before hers....they called her in at 10.20 and saw her at 11:10am she spends over 1 with each patient about nonsense that has nothing to do with visit...her computers were down and could not check her records...so no meds...we told her that we were there for her meds and that the wait was crazy long and we would not return....she pounded her hands on her legs and said find another doctor to help my you and good luck....her response was not of any doctor I have ever visited...she looked crazy and walked out of room...I would not recommend this horrible doctor to anyone...really!!!!
