Dr. Madeline Rodriguez, MD

This woman literally does not belong in the medical field I’ve literally never met someone with such awful bedside manner, but she also lacks the ability to command authority and respect from her peers I literally witnessed her have to scold the anesthesiologist in the OR room because he was on Facebook not listening to anything that was coming out of this nasty trash mouth. Dr. Maddelein Rodriguez refused to give me antibiotics after my daughter pooped inside me during labor which resulted in me having an infection that opens and stayed open until a wound VAC was applied for three months. This woman is not to be trusted within an inch of your life she does not care about you she has done this to patients in the past I do not know how this woman has a job but this woman belongs in some Third World prison. She is not an ally to women but the enemy I would not be surprised if we found out that she was doing illegal hysterectomy means on women of color

Dr. Rodriguez was the Ob on call when I went in to have my 2nd baby. I had felt my water break and then some gushing, so I went in. The nurses testing the fluid and said it was amniotic fluid, Dr. Rodriguez came in and checked me. She said that it "was not amniotic fluid, because the sac was still intact around the babies head" I was still having fluid leaking from me that was not urine. Dr. Rodriguez rudely stated you are 2 cm and not in labor, I am going to do a C-section and when I come back I am sending you home. Well, in the 2.5 hours she was gone I went from 2-10 and she walked in and said, I guess you are in labor in a rude voice. If she had sent me home, the baby would have been born at home or in the car, we couldn't have made it back to the hospital. The nurses both said you had a high water break and that is why the sac was still intact. Also Dr. Rodriguez told my husband to come closer to cut "his" cord ( the babies). I had multiple ultrasounds and we knew the baby was a… girl, I sat up and asked her point blank " the baby is a boy'!!??? "Oh, no I mean girl" Horrible and unprofessional and RUDE!!!

She tends to rush you to 'get to the point,' so be prepared with questions and concerns you have. She is direct in her responses and is too quick to recommend a hysterectomy without even having test results. Clearly she enjoys conducting this type of surgery.

I would never recommend her to anyone!!! She was extremely rude and seemed to have zero compassion. Every time I went in for my checkups she would never ask if I had any questions or concerns or if I have had any symptoms. Anytime I would ask a serious question that was an actual concern she would always blow it off or act as if I was crazy for asking. I am sooo thankful she was not on call when my daughter was born. My daughter had a few complications during labor and thankfully we had a WONDERFUL Dr and group of nurses on call who were their to monitor everything and take extra precaution and she was born healthy!!

I would NOT recommend this obgyn to anyone! She was very cold and rude! Every time I had a question I felt that she either didn't have the time to listen to my question or make me feel like I was dumb for asking. I never felt confident having her as my Dr. Not one time did she ever ask if I was having any symptoms or explain to me what I should be expecting in the weeks to come. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone.

I loved Dr. Rodriguez. she explains everything to you. Shows you pictures. Makes you feel at ease and understands woman female problems. The best OBGYN. I am 60 have had 4 babies and she is the best Dr. I have ever seen.

I was in the waiting room and I could hear her talking to the nurse all about my chart so I'm sure others could hear it too. When she came in there was no hello how are you, mind you I am worried out of my mind about what's going on, comes in says my score I was waiting to hear and says so you probably won't continue to carry and then says okay so just go do the test tomorrow and we will call you. The rest of the staff there is amazing!!! The front office ladies are so great!!! They really make you feel like a part of something.

Reading these reviews about Dr. Rodriguez being rude blows my mind. She has never been rude. Does she joke around, yes! Does she tell you things without adding any fluff, yes! Dr. Rodriguez has been my OB/GYN doctor for 21 years. She has delivered 5 of my 6 children (child #1 was delivered in Texas by an equally awesome doctor) and has been wonderful throughout all 5 of my difficult pregnancies. She has gone out of her way to demand that medication be delivered to my house when it was needed for the success of 2 of my pregnancies. Because of my high risk pregnancies, she made sure that whenever I called the office she would talk to me personally. I moved away from Oceanside 11 years ago. Instead of finding a closer OB/GYN, I drive approximately 30 miles to see her and have for 11 years. Dr. Rodriguez is a great doctor. I recommend her to anyone who will listen.

Would not recommend to a friend. Poor bedside manner. Did not seem to care about concerns and did now know answers about the hospital she mainly works at.

Dr. Rodriguez scoffed at my desire to deliver naturally, without intervention or pain drugs. She did not have a comforting bed-side manner and was dismissive of my questions. When I came to her office 2 weeks prior to my due date, I was 1 cm dilated, and she did something with her hand that hurt, and then announced that I was now 2 cm dilated. I thought that was unnecessary. I did end up having a successful natural childbirth despite her lack of encouragement. 5 months later, when I was breastfeeding my baby, I developed a fever and red inflammation on one breast. I had to call her office on the weekend (on-call status) to ask for advice or medication. She was very rude and hung up after prescribing my medication without even saying good-bye. And, of course, she never followed up.
