Dr. Madhurima Uppalapati, MD

Receptionist left a message on my voicemail a day before my appointment to tell me that my appointment was cancelled for a later date. That “later date” is the same day I’m scheduled to see my neurologist. I called the office, no one picked up, so I left a v-mail to ask to reschedule. Three days later I haven’t heard anything back from Dr. U receptionist. This receptionist is literally running Dr U’s office like a dictatorship. This woman have no consideration for Dr U’s patients. I will simply find another Hematologist, because this is cruel and unacceptable! Time is not on my side with thrombocytopenia! It will not heal itself, I actually need to see a doctor very soon to start treatment.

Dr. Uppalapati has been my doctor for my ten year struggle with cancer and I couldn’t be more pleased with her care! Her staff is excellent and whenever I have needed care or information on what was next they or she was always there to answer my questions! She is a loving and caring professional and I am so happy she is my cancer doctor.

Dr. Uppalalati is an excellent physician. I have full confidence in her.

I believe Dr. Uppalapati is very competent and she is very kind. She takes the time to explain options and answer questions. Her nurses are great. The lab at the center is staffed by good and competent folks. The chemo / infusion nurses seem very competent and are kind, considerate, thoughtful, encouraging and quite pleasant. Trying to work with the front office is a nightmare. The person in charge of scheduling seems to get her kicks by seeing how difficult she can make your life while being rude and telling you if you want treated, you will be there when SHE tells you. The office manager does not care and does not cooperate. The receptionist is basically rude and the check out person is just a moron. I do not recommend The Hope Center / Northwest Georgia Oncology unless have the patience of Job of have an advocate with that patience. The front office staff is horrible to have to face every week.
