My Grandson WAS a patient of this office, but not seen for 4 years, since he has been in good health. He has been very sick the past few days and upon calling the office for an appointment, we were told his file was closed and he is no longer a patient there. We asked if he could be seen as a new patient and were told "Nope, once their file is closed they are not ALLOWED back.". I am outraged!! What Doctor's office turns away a sick child??I find this highly unethical and felt the receptionist was highly rude. I have worked in Drs offices for years and know a file is closed after 7 years, but reopened if needed with a re-examination, etc. Had a reasonable explanation, besides "nope" been given, I would understand. As far as DR. Lawindy, I think very highly of him and feel he is a skilled Physician and wonderful with children- which is why we wanted to see him. As far as the office, they get the lowest grading possible. for all considering this office, the Dr is wonderful, but be aware… of this stupid policy of theirs...had the staff scheduled regular"Well" checkups , or even made us aware of this, this could have been avoided and I wouldn't have to now hunt for a new Dr while my grandson is very sick. I cannot express how disappointing this is!!

He is soft spoken to me and the kids. It is easy to get a sick appointment on the same day I call. He has a fabulous bedside manner he plays with the kids while examining them. He also does his own shots instead of making the nurse do it. He will tell the kids to look over there and they look then he gives the shot and they never knew they got the shot. He plays the sticker on the thumb game with them each time and they love trying to get the sticker. He spends time with me and examines head to toe even if it's leg pain he still checks them all over. I would rather wait for a doctor that will spend time with me and get the proper diagnosis. He does do follow ups. He tell you and the check out person follow up in 1 to 2 weeks. The staff does and has called to remind people of their appt for about 5 years now. It is posted in the lobby if you miss appt you will have to find another doctor. Jennifer and Julie are great, friendly, they go out of their way to make sure you were happy… with your visit. The one thing I do not like if the girls do not have access to a fax machine, the doctor is the only one that has a fax machine in his office and that causes problems at times. Other than that I recommend this doctor. Great staff and doctor I can not say enough good things about them.

Horrible office. Staff is very rude and unfriendly. They do not do follow ups with you, they are supposed to be a pediatric office but have maybe ONE thing for kids in there. I was very unhappy with this place. Thwyalso decided to drop my daughter without my knowledge because i missed ONE appointment, I am a mother of 3, I do forget, its not like they call to remind you of their appointment. They also do not give you reciepts. Overall horrible place. Good luck!

I have 2 children that have been with Dr. Lawindy since day one. I have never had an issue getting in at a moments notice. He is fantastic with the kids and still to this day plays the sticker on the thumb game with my 7 yr old. I've seen a few office staff come and go put for the most part they stay awhile so its not a quick turnover. I would definitely refer and I have in the past. I dont think Ive ever waited more then 10 min after my appointment time to be seen either. I think everyone there is wonderful and I cant say that I have a complaint!

My kids have been going to this Dr since they were born I love him he is awesome and has always been really good with my children but his staff has always been horrible rude never call back never fax paperwork when they say they did hang up on you say they don't have time for your needs this all together makes it bad because if it was there children they would never want to be treated that way

After the birth of my second child Dr. Lawindy was the doctor on call for new born at Halifax hospital he seems to be a very sweet doctor and my new daughter Lily liked him from the start. However when I was told by Dr. Lawindy that he would be Lilys doctor if I liked I was very excited. Called the office spoke to Janet, she will call me back with an apt. No return call from her. Called Janet again when my daughter had a problem with her bowels she will call me back once she has the file. No call back. I had to take my daughter to another doctor. Called Janet again she will call me for apt on 1st shots for my daughter never did. Four months go by called office spoke to Janet wanting to make an apt for my daughters 4 month shots. Advised by Janet her file is dead filed she will pull it and call me back. Three weeks pass and I get a call from Janet she said Dr. Lawindy is declining treating my child and I need to find another doctor. She was very rude and disrespectful. I asked why the… doctor would not see my child she said she dosent know and cant find out that information and I need to find another provider for my child. I asked to leave my phone # and have the doctor call me she said she has my number and since I am not a patient the doctor will not be calling me back. At the end of the conversation she was very rude told me she had patients and hung up the phone. I am sure the doctor is a nice doctor if you ca get service. However he needs to speak to his staff this seems to be an on going problem.

Dr. Madiey Lawindy is a really good caring Pediatrician, I will recommend him easy to my fellow recommending parents. He was my Son's Pediatrician for 4 years, and I loved it, we both very catholic person and I feel that he cares on his patients. I considered him also to be my Daughter Pediatrician even when she was still in my tummy, But unfortunately the older lady that starts work her name was JANET, there was really rude and start giving me hard time, she was very rude and racist thats make me feel so uncomfortable..I was sad that I have to transfer my son because of dealing with her, If you need something, she will put you on hold forever, and she will turn around and tell you that she will call you back after of that long period of on hold and she'd never call back, Until this last that I need a shot records and physical for my son for his school she was also very rude because she said she can't help me no more..What a inconsiderate person, Or maybe she is not a mother, because… if she is not, she is not to be working there no more..

Very professional, his a 10 star doctor. My children love him.
