Dr. Mahesh Patel, MD

I had a very negative experience with this provider. I was authorized for a cystoscopy, but after the procedure I had serious urinary problems and was later diagnosed with voiding dysfunction. Because of what happened, I believe a procedure may have been performed beyond what was authorized or explained to me. What makes this even more concerning is that the insurance adjuster, Kathy, later testified in deposition that she did not authorize urodynamic studies for any treating physician, including Dr. Patel. If the procedure performed was not authorized, that raises serious concerns for me about consent, disclosure, and what was actually done that day. Based on my experience, I would urge patients to ask detailed questions in advance, confirm exactly what procedure is being performed, and request copies of the records and authorizations.

Horrible experience. Dr. Patel and staff are rude, cold, and very unprofessional. Never returned after first appointment.

MY EXSPERIENCE WAS NOT GREAT I WAITED TO LONG FOR THE DR TO SEE ME 10 MINUTES AND THEN THE PERSON WHO SCHEDULES SURGERIES IS VERY RUDE AND SPEAKS TO PEOPLE IN A MANOR THAT IS NOT ACEPTABLE IN PERSON AND OVER THE PHONE.

Patients were OVER BOOKED there was no parking, no seats in the office, everything smells of urine, and the office staff couldn't care less if there were patients standing at the window needing help. I have never been so disgusted ..... I haven't even been seen yet!!! Not what you'd expect on your first visit, I wouldn't recommend this urology office to my worst enemy. 2 1/2 hour wait to see the doctor for 2 minutes.

He is a very patience and wonderful person. My mom is 70 years and takes a lot of patience to deal with her sometimes

Felt rushed by doctor.

My complaint was frequent urination for a few days. Never did a urine culture, prescribed something to control frequent urination. Ended up going to my internist because I developed blood in urine. What I had was a UTI which developed into a severe kidney infection.

Terrible doctor. My mom had seen him 2 or 3 times. He has an awful bedside manner, did a cystoscopy and put her on oxubutynin indicating she had spasms. Later, she experienced urine retention and urinary incontinence due to bowel impaction and was given a catheter by her PCP and referred back to Dr. Patel for removal of the catheter. Once he heard that she had dementia and bowel overflow, he wrote her off and said she has dementia and incontinence and needs to wear the catheter for the rest of her life and have a nurse change it every 3 weeks. He wrote her off on hearing of dementia without evaluating or assessing her. After seeing another urologist who removed the catheter she was able to urinate and has no incontinence today other than the urge to urinate. She is NOT incontinent due to dementia. This doctor wrote her off and is a terrible doctor

Dr. Patel performed 3 difficult surgeries on me that I can only describe is miraculous! Not only is he a masterful surgeon, he is very easy-going and extremely smart. His staff is friendly, efficient, and high tech. The whole atmosphere of his office is relaxed and inviting. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone. Kudos!
