Dr. Mahmoud Mostafavi, MD

This doctor is very poor, and doesn't need to be in the practice of medicine. I was almost put into a full grandma seizure because of this guy. and his lack of basic knowledge of drug interactions. I say stay away, its nothing but dollars to this guy and his staff, whom I believe work after hours if you understand. I now have a very amazing and most wonderful doctor now, but I will warn others this man has zero bedside manners and I wouldn't let him touch my cat.

Dr Mostafavi is highly skilled and trained in the art of homeopathic medicine as well as traditional medicine. He spends quality time with each patient in educating them on their individual care needs and how to achieve optimal health benefits. He is highly qualified to care for health needs ranging from simple to complex diagnosis.

Dr. Mostafavi always takes as much time as you feel you need. He comes in prepared with notes from your chart that he has prepared before you arrive. Other doctors rely on the nurse/staff to put notes in your chart and then never read half of them. I never feel rushed, and I have never had to wait more than 2 minutes!

Receptionists are rude, and unwelcoming. I can't believe that they treat people the way they do and are still open. I realize that they are busy but if you hate your job so much, you should probably find another one. Another problem was the doctor wouldn't refer me to a specialist when I asked for one. I had to research and ask around to find one. Isn't your doctor supposed to have your best interest in mind? I felt as if he didn't want to because he wanted my money spent at his office and not someone else's. Then the doctor actually commented to me about other patients weight problems and his disgust for them...Really?! What do you say about me once I leave the office? One last thing, it is very difficult to get an appointment when you are sick and need to be seen soon, I end up going to a walk- in-clinic. Hope this helps others so they don't have my experience.

I went to Dr. Mostafavi when I was at my wits end. He helped me to see how important a role nutrition plays in healing. He spent a great amount of time with me each visit. I found him to be professional and courteous. Not to mention extremely knowledgable.As far as the previous commenter regarding "he hates women". Ludicrous. Likely this woman simply was too stubborn to take his advice.

He's very much into natural medicine (supplements, extracts etc), which may work for some, but didn't for me. I wouldn't say he hates women like the previous reviewer said but he seems pretty hard-headed: doesn't take sugguestions well and you practically have to beg for a referral (like he doesn't want to admit he can't help you by himself).
