Very clean great place

I had the great fortune to be Dr. Okhovat's patient for over 9 years!! I was crushed between 2 cabs in New York city over 24 years ago and have had 38 surgeries--orthopaedic: knees, feet, ankle, toes and oral surgeries (jaw fractured in 3 places with 7 cracked teeth) and reconstructive surgeries as well as vascular, I am dealing with herniated discs and impending TKR, and blah, blah blah,,, It just goes on and on. So that's my background. What makes Dr. O so outstanding and amazoir in this day and age of "pain management" when doctors are afraid to prescribe: he took a comprehensive view of my case, Dr, O knows that depression and anxiety play a huge part (and throw a monkey wrench into treating pain) and he treated me accordingly! I am a wee bit difficult at times (show me a pain patient who's not a PAIN in the ....) and despite my pain-fueled, angst-ridden meltdowns he ALWAYS treated me with respect, empathy, understanding, and patience. He is and always will be one of my… most favorite doctors. Thank you Dr. O for being there for me all those years!!!!

Dr. Okhovat has been my primary care physician for over 3 years now. His ability to diagnose health problems and depth of knowledge of solutions has helped me recover quickly from many ailments, from a lacerated elbow to an eye infection to strep throat to recently when my girlfriend had a toothache. Dr. Okhovat is by far the best doctor I've ever had and I can't recommend him enough

After a recent struggle with breast cancer, I was left in extreme pain in both my nerves and joints following chemotherapy. Dr. Okhovat has stuck with me these last several years, helping me get through this crisis, and has always treated me with the greatest respect and kindness. Having previously been treated by a Santa Monica pain management physician whom was very hostile and verbally abusive towards me, Dr. Okhovat became my hero. It's easy to make appointments, the staff in both the Santa Monica and Thousand Oaks offices are terrific (not that Similar Valley isn't, I've just never been there!), and there's rarely even a 5 minute wait! I adore this doctor for the help he has given me, and for his sensitivity and kindness.

I can't even give this Dr a star on some items, he still hasb't been able to give me a treatment that works. His staff is the worst I've ever had the unpleasentness to meet. I would not recommend him foe a hang nail.

I've been treated by many Doctors over 30 years. Dr Okhovat is simply an outstanding physician!If there were more like him, the world would be a better place.

Dr.Okhovat has a great bedside manner and I never have to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment. He is caring and personable. I would recommend him to anyoneHis office is clean and neat and his office staff is helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

Drs. Okhovat and Hersel are by FAR the very best physicians I've ever seen! I've been a patient for more than five years and I can honestly say that I wouldn't know what I would do if I couldn't be treated by them.I recently had a discography- a diagnostic procedure-it was extremely painful. Although I was in the surgery center (outpatient facility), Dr. Hersel made sure that I did not suffer once I expressed the pain I was in. I have difficulty financially and will soon lose my medical insurance. Dr. Hersel assured me that he will continue my care and that his office will work with me on payments. I'm not suggesting he will provide 'free' service- I fully believe he should be paid for his treatment. It's just wonderful to know that I'll be treated and not denied care for having to make payments! This is TRUE doctoring! They both are very kind, patient, caring and knowledgeable. The entire office treats everyone with dignity and care. I would recommend any friend or acquaintance… to them and be confident that they will be in not only the kindest, most caring hands- but by far the most competent.
