Dr. Malathi Krishnaswamy, MD

The first meeting with Dr. K was something that I didn't expect in the Gainesville VA. It only took a minute to realize she was very confident, knew her stuff and when the consult was over I was completely satisfied and sure that the upcoming surgery was in the best hands. The day of surgery she and her team made me feel relaxed and helped hold my anxiety down as low as it could be. I thank Dr K and her team for the great job.

My first appointment with DR Krisnaswamy at the VAMC was a nightmare from the moment I walked into her cubicle until the moment I escasped...She was extremely arrogant and uninterested in any of my medical challenges at age 77, and chose to go to war with me, trying to find anything negative, even if it did not exist..She lied in her report and challenged a specialists (neurology) medication which seemed to work for me in the area of short term memory issues common to the elderly (ME)...I have been taking these medications successfully for 3-4 years with no negative issues at all...She stated that because of my taking these medications, she would require me to drive 6 hours round trip to Tampa VA to prove that I could drive...absolutely amazing if you look at these two related issues. My driving is excellent...I am a retired Calif. Police Officer with thousands of hours of safe driving...I am just shy of a Masters degree in Criminology and Social Work, and excelled in both...She also… lied in her report stating that I told her I was a recovering alcoholic...I AM NEITHER...I was a non drinker until the studies came out that small quantities of red wine would be beneficial to the heart. I have had 2 very small glasses of wine with my dinner for several years now, and I have experienced absolutely no heart problems...My impression...Dr Krisnaswamy should be avoided..she seems to be mad at the world, and in my case neglected most relevent health issues
