Dr. Manasa Vulchi, MD

Dr. Vulchi is an exceptional breast cancer oncologist. From our very first visit, her caring and kind demeanor immediately put me at ease during an otherwise overwhelming time. She took the time to fully explain my diagnosis and walked me through all of my treatment options in a clear, thoughtful, and compassionate way. I never once felt rushed, and she made sure all of my questions were answered. Dr. Vulchi and her entire office went above and beyond to coordinate multiple appointments and tests in a very short period of time—not only related to my breast cancer, but also for additional pre-operative findings that needed prompt attention. Their organization, responsiveness, and genuine concern made a stressful process feel manageable. Dr. Vulchi has also been readily available through MyChart, responding quickly and thoroughly to any questions that came up between visits, which provided enormous reassurance. I am incredibly grateful for her expertise, compassion, and dedication, and I… would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Vulchi to anyone seeking outstanding breast cancer care.

Someone added a sentence to my second review. I must’ve written two reviews for this doctor and the second review, someone added a sentence at the bottom, stating that I would give her more than 10 stars if I could. I did not write that because I would not have given her one star. I tried to reach vital to correct this, but their phone is out of order and I think their site is run by robots so I’m giving up. I’m just glad she got hers.

She needed to be right… upon first meeting, she told me she was sure this was going to be malignant cancer. She scheduled me for a biopsy and then told me the results were inconclusive, and that I needed a second biopsy. Unfortunately the second biopsy, punctured my lung and put me in the hospital for 12 days. Upon leaving the hospital, this doctor came in and said, “if you ever get cancer don’t come to me. The second biopsy said benign.“ I later made an appointment at UCSF after getting my records, and the first thing the chief of cancer said to me, was asking me why I got a second biopsy. I said because she said it the first one was inconclusive. He said no it wasn’t, the first biopsy showed infection, inflammation. This woman was so angry that she was wrong that she put me through a second biopsy for nothing which collapsed my lung. I don’t recommend this doctor to anyone

Dr. Vulchi told me, on my first visit that I had cancer. She scheduled me for a lung biopsy. I told her I thought this was an infection bc, it was also in my gut. No, she insisted, cancer. So, when the biopsy came back, she told me it was, "inconclusive," & I needed to have another biopsy. The 2nd biopsy collapsed my lung, putting me, in the hospital for 12 days. After that biopsy was negative for cancer, she got mad & turned everything over to UCSF. The head of cancer, at UCSF asked me why they did a 2nd biopsy. I said bc, she said it was inconclusive. He said, no, it was not, it showed an inflammation. The last time I saw this Dr., she said that, if i get cancer, do not come to her. WOW...I WOULD HAVE GIVEN THIS DR. -10 STARS, IF I COULD HAVE.
