I have been a patient of Dr Vermani for the past six months. I was referred to her by my physician because of a dual case of TMJ and Trigeninal Neuralgia. I came to Dr Vermani at the height of my pain from both conditions. Within weeks of her treatment plan, my symtoms subsided and are now completely under control. I give Dr Vermani the highest praise for her competence in these two modalities and her caring nature. She understands pain and is eager to help folks get better.

My problems started with my teeth clenching and grinding which eventually led to the displacement of the disc in my jaw. I went to a dentist who did X-rays, said I was fine, and gave me Botox. I then went to a maxillofacial specialist. His solution was more no X-rays, Botox, and a mouth guard that made my condition worse! I finally got lucky and found Dr. Vermani. She was able to tell my disc was displaced immediately. After two inept doctors and an abundance of money, I was finally able to get the treatment and relief I was desperately needed. If you have jaw issues, I would definitely call Dr. Vermani.

Dr. Vermani is an expert in TMJ and TMD disorders! I have been to several other "TMJ specialists" in the valley and one absolutely ruined my mouth and surrounding muscles. Dr. Vermani is helping me to get back to normal. She is the best!

Best doctor I've had in 77 years

I would agree with the other patient that said she was in it for the money. I would say this is one of the worst dentist I have ever been to. She said I needed a x Ray very expensive and then when I went back for the next visit she didn’t even bring up the x-ray guess it wasn’t that important. She charged 1200.00 for a mouth guard which to this day still doesn’t fit right. She makes you wait along time because she try’s to see as many patients as possible . I would not recommend this to Dentist to anybody

It was recommended that my daughter see Dr. Vermani due to a problematic dental visit that caused her have problems with her mouth. She helped my daughter so much, that I started seeing her as well for my own medical issue. I saw several other professionals, and they were unable to diagnose the problem. Dr. Vermani immediately diagnosed my neck problems, TMJ, and Trigeminal Neuralgia, and I am finally seeing some relief for my symptoms. She is outstanding, extremely professional, a good listener, and a warm person. I would recommend this specialist to anyone.

In my office visit, Dr. Vermani exhibited the most unethical conduct I have ever experienced from a medical/dental practitioner. First, let me say, I have a 35 year career counseling cancer patients and survivors and chronically-ill clients, so I don’t leave a review like this lightly. Also, I’ve worked at a major New York Hospital as a patient advocate for many years. Dr. Vermani has one mission to get as much as money as possible from every patient she sees – it wasn’t covert in anyway -- simply blatant and transparent. If you don’t read further, please take that information and locate another dentist. I will be filing a full report with the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners First, she didn’t even bother to introduce herself – I mean literally. When I asked her about that, she just shrugged – the sense of self-importance was overwhelming and startling. During my whole 60 minute appointment she appeared very stressed and barley smiled. Like many of you, I went to her because… I am in pain, pain no one can figure out, so feeling pretty vulnerable. Would some kindness from the dentist be helpful? She diagnosed me with neuropathy (more on this later) and prescribed a protocol of specific medications and topical. Then she wanted me to have an CT Dental Scan ($350) – I arrived at the office with CT Dental Scan taken only few months ago which I told them I was bringing and would not be open to any more xrays. Dr. Vermani said that it wasn’t adequate. I gave her the most definitive scan one can have so that was nonsense. She’s on agenda here. Unethical dentists will do this, they have a very specific monetary goal they set for each patient office visit. She had her office manager come in with my “proposed protocol” – Approximately, $1600 to include the CT Scan, TMJ plate, etc. I have no TMJ issues. My best friend of 40 years is one of the top Dental TMJ specialists on the east coast so I am very familiar with TMJ. When I told the office manager I was only interested in the medication she prescribed, she glared at me. I have never seen this type of behavior from a staff member in 40 years of seeing dentists. Then Dr. Vermani returned and proceeded to try and bully me into her proposed protocol, threatening to not take me on as a patient if I didn’t pay for what she recommended. Now, this is after she has already diagnosed me and gave me her medication recommendations. Again, we are back to a very clear agenda and trying to fit me into her “practice monetary goals.” I am sure many of you have experienced this. Then “she raised” her voice at me saying the appointment was $250 not $179 I was quoted and she had spent 2 hours with me. She spent 1 hour with me – I watched the clock. She actually appeared a bit unbalanced emotionally at this point. The diagnosis of neuropathy is suspect because she injected the area with novacaine and then tested sensation on left and right side. And said I had no pain there now. I did have pain and told her. This story continues but I hope this is enough to avoid this dentist. Given the challenging issues we all experience in the medical field, it is truly sad that anyone has to have such a bad experience. I hope this review is helpful.
