Belittled me over a video call but then blaming it on his staff… I got charges $300 for not even having stepped in their building. I’m not paying that BS. You’re one of the most rude “doctors” I’ve ever encountered. Bet you wouldn’t step up and act like that. If you need help like I did and dire need. Do yourself a favor and just go check into northwestern. This is what an incompetent child is. With his childish temperament to some of the other reviews see what you’re getting into… before wasting your time or your life.

Was referred to Dr. Dhamija by my primary for a HIDA scan a few months ago. First things first. For a 15min virtual apt, they charged my insurance $500 and me $40. Is that not Fraud?!?! We met virtually for 10 minutes. I went over my symptoms, localized pain in my lower right ribs, RUQ pain that felt bruised, pain radiating to my back, shoulder, digestive issues, struggled more after Fatty meals. I even mentioned how it's a genetic thing in my family. No women on my side of the family has a Gallbladder. He ignored everything I said and told me I needed a Colonoscopy. He NEVER even talked about my GB! I then proceeded to tell him me looking into the FOD Map diet. He then rolled his eyes, sighed, then went, "Oh, Here we go!!". Belittled me for doing research from the Mayo Clinic THEN he ended up recommending the FOD Map diet after judging me for even googling it... I ended up getting a HIDA scan through another doctor. He palpitated my belly, listened to my symptoms and family… history. They then said it was CLASSIC gallbladder and set me up for a HIDA within a week. A normal excretion fraction is 30plus, mine was 6. I could've needed emergency surgery had I listened to him. Let's just say now me and the referring doctor have trust issues...

so far s good, we haven't had the final results returned. But the upper GI test seems to have gone well

Dr. Dhamija diagnosed me with ulcerative colitis pancolitis after a colonoscopy. He prescribed me both a corticosteroid autoimmune suppressor and an anti-inflammatory to suppress my symptoms. I asked if there was any diet changes I should make. Without hesitation he said "no", although his office and waiting room is littered with posters and pamphlets relating to gut health and diet. At the time I thought strange but ok doc. While on the meds, I began my own research and discovered various diets that ulcerative colitis and other autoimmune diseased patients have used which they found to be helpful. I began experimenting with these diets while weaning off my prescription. I came to a point when I was no longer taking the meds and the carnivore diet (of which you can find unending studies and experiences from doctors, patients, various health professionals and individuals who claim it is an autoimmune disease killer) was working for me. 2 months later I had a follow up with Dr. Dhamija… and explained how I did not refill the prescription and made extreme diet changes and the symptoms are gone. Without looking up from his laptop and asking me any questions he said, "you're in remission, it will return, stay on the meds. I'm going to write you a refill." I said, "ok" and left. I did not refill the prescription. This was over a year and a half ago. In between that last visit and now, I have both stayed strict carnivore for over a month and in contrast have experimented with consuming things outside of the diet i.e. sugar, carbohydrates, caffeine and alcohol and I can immediately feel the negative effects on my guts and energy. When returning to the diet, the symptoms dissipate. Why would I take daily prescriptions, which in most problematic autoimmune cases are for life, when I can change my diet and stay out of the Doctors office. Dr. Dhamija is a aware of the relationship between diet and the immune system. He blatantly ignores it. was not outright hostile to me; allowed me to ask questions; ordered tests. technically did his job. 1 star for accomplishing the bare minimum.

Everything the previous reviews said about Dr. Dhamija being unnecessarily annoyed and rude with his patients is 100% true from my experience. He also didn’t believe me when I told him I have celiac disease, which I was diagnosed with from a blood test and endoscopy 4 years ago with my previous gastroenterologist. He asked me what my race is and proceeded to condescendingly tell me “I’ve never met a black person with celiac disease before.” And then he told me to send him proof from my previous doctor’s records. This appointment was such a waste of my time and discouraged me from continuing to seek medical attention for my current issues. DO NOT go to this doctor, ESPECIALLY if you are black or a person of color.

I was very disappointing with my experience with Dr. Dhamija. When he first walked into the room he seemed like he was annoyed and didn't want to be there. When explaining my symptoms he did not want to listen to anything I was saying, and implied that I was wrong about the way I was feeling. He was very short with me and seemed like he didn't want to do his job. He needs some serious re-training on how to be a professional

Was very short with me. Aslo very rude. Never really took the time to realy care what I had to say. Dr. Manish needs to let the patient expan their pain and be more of a Dr. that cares about the patient.
