Dr. Manish Vitthalbhai Patel, MD

I trust Dr. Patel but finally had to leave because of the incompetence of the administrative staff in office and at Capital Pain Institute. The last straw was not being allowed to see the doctor because they said I wasn't covered by the insurance I had. This has been an ongoing issue and they couldn't get it fixed. In the end, it was, once again their fault and yet I was expected to reschedule after driving more than an hour there. When I had my surgery, it was a nightmare scheduling and getting things done in the right order. I even had my surgery "denied" the day before I was scheduled. Why was it scheduled if there had not been approval!! They constantly blamed me or my insurance and it was their issue all along. I wasn't allowed to speak to Dr. Patel and was told, if I wanted to I could make an appointment and pay to speak to him.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Manish Patel for many years. He found and removed a blood clot in my left hand, years later, fixed a trigger finger in my left hand, and has recently repaired my left bicep tendon that was hanging on by a thread. He is the most personable, kind, and compassionate doctor in Central Texas. He always gets me in when I need to see him and takes all the time necessary to make sure I'm comfortable. I'm never rushed and always very well attended to. He is by far the best of the best when it comes to hands, arms, and shoulders. He will not string you along and will provide you with the best care possible. Dr. Patel's staff is efficient, easy to reach, professional, and caring. This doctors office is top shelf.

I was a patient of Dr. Patel’s for 3 and a half years. I had nerve damage in both arms and needed 6 surgeries. I was going through worker’s comp and was able to get the first two. He advocated for me when I began getting denied. Once I was able to use my own insurance to finish the treatment, he expedited the rest of my surgeries. He was always very professional and passionate about helping patients get and feel better. He always took time to explain things and is dedicated to his profession. I would recommend him to anyone and if I ever needed his services in the future we would return and seek his help. Thank you Dr. Patel for getting my life back on track.

I liked Dr Patel as soon as I met him. He had thoroughly researched my case and knew what I was facing. I feel confident in his ability and experience.

Dr Patel is an honest man. I am trusting him to do surgery on my hand.

I don't think there is a more arrogant surgeon. This guy really makes you feel like he always has more important things to do and people to see. I would not trust his attention to detail enough to perform anything on me. Saw him twice for a finger injury. He was obviously more interested in asking one of the other doctors about his vacation. I WILL KEEP LOOKING THANK YOU

Went to see Dr. Petal he recommended a shoot in the joint to try before surgery. After receiving the shot three days later I determined that the shoot had no effect. I called the office and was told to contact the hospital were the procedure was done. I did this and was told to wait through the weekend. Still no relief! I called the hospital back and was told to contact Dr. Petal. After calling for a week results have not been good, was told one time the office was closed. Next two times the phone rang and no one picked up. I then spoke to the referring dr. He contacted Dr Petals office. The office calls back immediately and was told the Dr. Petal would get back to me. The Dr. did not call back after 48 hrs. When I called I was told it took at least 72 hrs to hear back. So I have not seen or heard for him since the procedure in over 2 weeks. I am still in great pain! Hopefully he will call back soon. However it will probably be another week before I can schedule an appointment!

Was going for a 2nd opinion and his office staff told me they couldn't see me without the records of the first doctor. Doesn't make sense to me why would you go for a second opinion if the doctor needed the first doctor's notes.

I was impressed with the Dr Patel during our initial meeting he spent about 45 min telling me what I need to fix my shoulder problem. But after that I never saw him again not even before the surgery or after.I was pushed off to the PA I got the feeling I wasn't worth the time.

Misdiagnosed my injury. Was always too busy to discuss details of my injury. I spent more time with nurses and assistants who actually had better knowledge of my injury than Dr. Patel.
