Dr. M. K. Singh did a 5 level cervical fushion of my neck. He was always caring to me. He listened as well as instructed me on the aftermath of such an extreme surgery. Now he left Tulane Hospital and the Doctor that took his place is an absolute horror. Recommend Dr Singh for spinal care. He's the best!

Spinal fusion of L3-L5 Feb 2016. Since, surgery, I've been debilitated & denied temporary 100% rating for this service connected surgery. A screw is pressing on a nerve bundle and my last apptmnt was cancelled cause he's no longer at Tulane Medical.

Dr. Singh started out being very caring about my condition but as time went on, he was not concerned at all.Here is my story. It started out with different scenarios about my condition. One of these scenarios would have me hooked up to a monitor to let him know if he was starting to do damage to the spinal cord or nerves.Well, that scenario didn't turn out so well. As a result, and nine months after the operation, I am with a walker and a cane. Before the operation I walked into his office in severe pain. Now, for my followup visit, my appointments were cancelled by his office for three months before finding out he left the practice and no-one notified us by his staff. So In my opinion, this doctor has no compassion for his patients because we would have been notified by him personally.

I was referred to him by another Neurosurgeon in the city, as he is the only one that does complex spine surgeries. I had two previous spine fusion, that had failed. He went over my X-rays and MRI, he showed me the films and explained in very simple way what was wrong(I had seen 3-4 surgeons in the past, no one was able to explain to me what was wrong). He ordered Myelogram and then again went over the films with me and discussed all the options. He went over the risk and benefits with me and my family. This was a major surgery and he made us at ease at the same time gave us realistic expectations. He called my primary physician and discussed the surgery. I am six months out and a different person. My leg pain is completely resolved, I still has some back pain, but significantly better. He has told me that I will have some back pain. I can now do things that I was not able to do before. Thanks Dr. Singh, you are the best.

Dr. Singh is extremely thorough, knowledgeable, proficient physician. e made me feel as if I was his only patient and put me totally at ease.

He treats his patients like family. I am so thankful a nurse at East Jefferson referred me to Dr. SIngh. He is so very special. He is an awesome surgeon. Thank you Dr. Singh.
