Dr. Manoochehr Khatami, MD

Dr. Khatami is the worst doctor I've ever dealt with. He has marked me as a no-show for three straight appointments and allowed my depression medication to expire (which is very dangerous). Beware if you are his patient.

Every other review of this “DR” are true. Does not listen, evolutes you in less than 10 mins. I regret ever speaking to this man and half way through. I wanted to hang up on him.

Extremely bad. My first appointment was less than 20 minutes long & he rushed through my entire diagnosis. I tried to specifically explain my symptoms to him & he cut me off and aggressively told me “no! It’s a yes or no answer! Do you have get ___.” He was then said I have bipolar 2 & prescribed me my medication. My follow up appointment I tried to explain my concerns that I had been misdiagnosed & he ignored me the first 3 times. He was only focused on my prescription. I asked him why he won’t address my concerns about a misdiagnoses, to which he responded “your diagnoses doesn’t matter, it’s intellectual for me so it’s not important that I misdiagnosed you.” He also got irritated when I didn’t know how to pronounce my medication names & said “how am I supposed to treat if you don’t know your medication.” With him being my provider I would think that he would have it in a file of me or even a sticky note somewhere. He ended the Telehealth appointment & called me via phone call… asking “so did you figure out what your prescription was?” Although he said he hung up to do exactly that. Terrible psychiatrist, would never recommend to anyone. He will try to make you think he knows what he’s talking about because of his board certifications & measly 4 years of experience.

He kept on asking me the same questions over and over again ...seams he was thinking about everything but my needs...he could not find my med history and asked me what they were...I could have just made it up ...he said he would send a prescription two weeks ago and has not done so yet...scary to think hes prescribing

He is actually a businessman not a doctor. He is office are filled with signs of late fees for check return, missing appointment, and etc. He never listens to patient. When I wanted to talk about my problems (I mean very small talk), he was mentioning that he is not a therapist and cannot listen to me. So, even you are from Iran and think he could talk to you you in your language NO WAY. I was going there regularly, but he could never remember my name or my problem. I even believe that my depression got worse because of his irresponsibility.

I fully do NOT recommend this doctor to anyone. A family member was forced into the psych. hospital this doctor runs and our family member was threatened to be kept there if he didn't follow everything this man said to do, including taking many drugs, which was prescribed within 5 minutes of him being there. The doctor kept threatening a court order if our family member didn't comply. Our family member sat and watched tv during the day instead of receiving the counseling he paid for. Only had three 10 minute meetings with this doctor. We had to threaten a lawyer to get our family member out of that hospital. There are no patient rights there and the state needs to look into what is going on there. This doctor actually told us that because there was good insurance, why were we concerned with how long our family member was in this hospital. Stay away at all costs and if you are forced there, threaten a lawyer and get moved. There are many other reputible doctors and hospitals… around.
