Dr. Manuel Eduardo Castro-Borobio, MD

First let me say I don't write reviews good or bad. However, there are some people that are just meant to do what they do and Dr. Castro certainly is in the right profession. I first met Dr. Castro in early Jan as I had septicemia from a prior surgery. My time in the hospital was miserable but he made sure that I saw him daily and he would give me updates on progress good or bad. Now I know this is what all doctors may or may not do but he was knowledgeable and reassuring about my situation. He educated me on what was happening. In short, he saved my life and for that of course I'm going to be grateful. Almost 2 mths later, I came to him for just a checkup and happened to mention my leg was sore from a workout and that I had a little shortness of breath and could that be from the antibiotics. He asked me some additional questions and sent me for an ultrasound. Turns out I had a blood clot in both my leg and lung. I'm not sure I would have went if he hadn't insisted I go… immediately. Needless to say he saved my life twice. Even in the hospital the nurses and doctors thought the fact that he reacted on something that was really more of just a compliant from me turned out to probably save my life. He is a brilliant doctor and anyone who gets him as a doctor should feel extremely lucky.
