Dr. Manuel Augusto Melendez, MD

Dr. Melendez was the sole individual capable of addressing my issue, as others struggled to diagnose it. He possesses patience, attentiveness, and unparalleled expertise. I am indebted to him for saving my life.

I have been a patient for over two years suffering from depression and anxiety disorder. I feel very comfortable with Dr Melendez and feel I am able to tell him anything. When I am not feeling well and call, he returns my calls immediately. His staff is as accommodating as he is. I never thought I would be be seeing a psychiatrist as a regular part of my life. I am so glad I chose him.

I tried to locate the office and my GPS was sending me somewhere that looked "not right". I was right in front of a Casket makers office. I called and asked and was told to use the street number instead of the other name it also uses. I tried using that information and got "not found". Then I tried bypassing the suggested listings and it also was of no help. I called again, apologizing, and the office lady told me to use said address again. She had no clue as to how to give directions. She gave me the colors yellow and red building and I could not find. I spent 45 minutes going back and forth and after calling again, the office staff would answer and then hang up. I redialed and was hung up on again.....well is this a test for someone on anxiety medications???? On my way back home I saw a TAN building with a RUST colored roof and behind the bushes saw the address. GET SOME SIGNAGE FOLKS! Needless to say, I did not go in as it had been over an hour past my appointment. So… much for trying to get there early! This Dr. definitely needs some help with the staff because they are reflecting his values to the public in a NOT SO PROFESSIONAL WAY! Some of the required stars had to be inserted to get this published but I was unable to reach the doctor so disregard, if you will and give him the benefit of the doubt that he is not a horses patuty like the office staff.

Dr. Melendez was very patient and made me feel at ease upon my first consult. He listened very closely and genuinely made it seem that nothing else mattered at that moment, except what was going on with me. I suffer from panic disorders, anxiety and depression. Just the thought that I am going to visit him, makes me feel better. I get very anxious in the waiting room, because it is very difficult for me to be around people. His staff is nice enough to let me inside and sit down in a quiet area by his office where I will not be overwhelmed.

He took his time to ask me all the proper questions to understand my whole history. I have never spent that much time with a psychiatrist before...and I am a chronic depression patient. The staff was very courteous... Just parking is a pain. But I go early and always get a space.
