Dr. Manuel Urbano Olivares, MD

My mother stayed at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center for overnight observation. Dr. Oliveras was assigned to her. His signature was required for discharge. He finally appeared the next day at 4 PM, briefly listened to her heart, and signed the already-prepared discharge papers. I can’t comment as to whether he is a good physician, and I can state that he was polite when I complained about having to wait all day for him, but the bottom line is: no patient should have to wait seven hours in a hospital for a doctor to appear for discharge. As between this doctor and the hospital, there should be a protocol for another physician to see the patient in the morning so the patient, if well, can leave. (I prefer to give no rating but I am required to do so to post this review, so will give a 3, which is above the average this doctor currently has.)

He never saw us but refused to sign us out until he did. We left.

Worse doc ever careless about his patients

Unknowledgeable, impatient, trouble communicating, rude and arrogant , chauvinistic, and refuses to listen. Will run from room. Does not return phone calls.

Very bad doctor

Caring, knowledgeable

Does not reply letters.
