Dr. Maqbool Begun Ali, MD

Dr Ali just is getting to the age of needing to retire in my opinion she probably was once an amazing dr but I’ve seen her a lot and she’s done TWO surgeries on me. Each visit she does not recall the surgeries and has failed to put anything in my electronic chart for my primary dr to know what she’s treating me for. She was even falling asleep writing in my chart my last appointment with her.

I’ve been with Mrs. Ali for five years now she delivered my first daughter my only child I went to her practice couple weeks ago and I was treated so unfairly by unfairly I mean I came to my scheduled appointment at 2 o’clock waited till 245 before asking questions on what was going on and when I did the front desk lady the blonde haired one acted like she didn’t know what was going on or what she was supposed to do she then commented sorry I don’t know all the patients so she went to the back to find my chart did not come back out then I was approached by the nurse the tall one with curly brown hair and I was explained to that it’s taking a bit longer due to how many patients were there which was fine I asked what happened to the blonde girl and I was told she had to cool down that was the most hilarious thing I’ve ever heard in my life considering I didn’t do anything besides ask a question these people do not deserve to work in this field if they’re this offended by a couple… questions then she wanted to get lippy and tell Mrs. Ali that I was yelling over the counter when I wasn’t so then yeah I started yelling Mrs. Ali told her to let me go which I was dumbfounded about considering I’ve been with this office for five years her husband was the one that pulled me back to see what actually happened Mrs. Ali then came into the patient room that I was sat in with her husband to explain my side and she comes in and says just let her go we have more patience to deal with completely disrespected by the staff completely disrespected by the Mrs. the only person that has common sense there is the Mr. he begged me to stay so I stayed I felt so uncomfortable so as I was in the office I made a new appointment with another OB/GYN right in front of them and I walked out they have no respect for any of the people that enter this establishment

Dr.Ali was my OB for my first pregnancy.She did not make us feel safe & she made the experience much less enjoyable than it should have been.was very impersonal, Each time I saw her she did not remember anything about me or my pregnancy (&my pregnancy was considered high risk). Appointments leading up to the birth were very uneventful, she was very short and rushed, she didn't explain anything to me even though this was my first pregnancy and everything was new. She did not give me options on anything. Finally, she called me at home one night claiming that she had to induce me early,in TWO days, because my blood pressure was too high. I questioned this because I was seeing a high risk specialist along with Dr.Ali and my blood pressure had been under control. The specialist informed me that there was no medical reason for an early induction. Come to find out Dr. Ali had planned to be on vacation during my due date. The day she wanted to induce me was a couple days before her departure.… I refused and thankfully my high risk doctor delivered my baby ( who came when he was ready with no complications ) Other than a terrible experience with Dr. Ali, her ultrasound tech was also rude and short. they were always rushed and no explanation to what we were seeing...except for when she saw that I was having a boy and told us immediately, even though we were planning to have her write it down and be surprised.

Needed new OB. Went to office. Every chair had a stain. I waited 1 hour. Went to front desk. Was advised the hold up was because I was a nee patient. I waited another 30 minutes and left. Called from parking lot and asked them to shred my paperwork, because I would not be back!

Went to see her because I was bleeding from the end of May all the way into mid July. before even examining me, she says she will need to perform a D& C to rule out any other causes for my abnormal bleeding. Throughout the first appointment, she continued to tell me the reason I was still bleeding was because I am severely overweight. Now, mind you, I am morbidly obese, but I am in a weight management program and am gradually losing weight, but with you being an OB/GYN, your main concern should be my gynecological health, I would leave the other health concerns to my physician. So, then she performs my pap smear, says she found nothing but a yeast infection. Of course I did, I had been bleeding for almost 2 months. So as a result they prescribe me the pack for an infection. D&C performed, I go back a week later to her, she says she is going to put me on a hormone (provera) that is supposed to regulate my bleeding. did I mention that she is concerned about my weight. She… has also given me Benicar (blood pressure with diuretic) and then Provera (steroid that causes rapid weight gain). I stopped bleeding on July 28th, but started again on August 14th, and here it is September 14th, and I am still bleeding.....not ok

She delivered my first born in 2004 and was old then. Because she did a c section with no problems to myself or my baby I decided to continue going to her with this pregnancy. Where to start..? The head nurse at the office is always too busy to be courteous most days, the receptionist is overloaded since there is only one, the sono tech they hire out whom I had three sonos with was always in a hurry ( she even literally ran out of the room after hurrying with one of my sonos because she was too busy to finish up and threw the paper at me to " clean myself up " -- her words ), I told her I didn't want any genetic testing done because I was in fear of false positives but without me realizing it wasn't a standard test for someone 39 she ordered it and it came back a false positive for certain issues. I actually never found out the results until my maternal fetal appt months later. I then had to get another test at maternal fetal to rule this out and worried for weeks until I got the… results, She is getting old and just doesn't seem to care. I thankfully have found another ob dr. that has caring staff and I am finishing my pregnancy off with that office. At one time she was ok but nope she needs to retire. And her staff needs lessons in common courtesy.

She a very good doctor but doesn't like to give pain meds

This is by far the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my entire life. Firstly, when I was pregnant, she ignored all of my concerns, ignored my questions, and was very rude to me. During my birth, she ignored my birth plan and everything I asked for during my birth. She wasn't around to order me an epidural when mine wore off (labor was 24 hours) and so I had a FORCED natural delivery which was INDUCED against my better judgement (she wouldn't answer why I needed it) and for no medically necessary reason. During labor I passed out multiple times, was delirious to the point of hallucinating from the pain and she had no sympathy and didn't care. After my birth, I was comatose for nearly two days! during my follow up visit she saw me long enough to hand me a box of birth control and send me out. No exam, no questions. When I returned to her a few months later with abdominal pain and a three month missed period, she gave me a recalled birth control and left. Answered none of my questions,… didn't listen to my symptoms, and wasted my time. Now, I'm seeing a different doctor for ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and possible cancer! Thanks for literally nothing but birth control! The only reason she got any sort of rating is because you can't give zero stars. Her staff were helpful but that is IT. And after reading all the similar stories I don't know why she isn't shut down!

Dr. Ali was excellent. After my previous experience with a Dr. in Morton that did nothing but talk about himself and not do a proper examination, Dr. Ali was amazing. She took the time to listen to my problems, performed a thorough examination and I am just waiting on results. I look forward to keeping her as my Doctor.
