Dr. Mara Robin Baier, DO

I have been a patient of Dr. Baier's for nine years. She has seen me through multiple medical issues, both big and small. I trust her word and her treatment. I recently found out she's no longer at her original practice. I'm hoping she is still local and I can continue seeing her.

Dr. Baier takes the time to find out about the whole patient, not just what you come in for during that visit. She listens and then asks questions to get more information, things that I would not have thought to mention or were important.

Dr Baier has treated me for over 12 years and is exceptional. She diagnoses accurately and prescribes accurate medications. She also takes a personal interest in each patient individually.

The experience I had with Dr. Baier was so unpleasant that I decided to take this precious time of mine to write a review about it. Hopefully you who are reading this review would not be deceived by all the other "five-star" reviews on her. I have a full insurance coverage, but still find Dr Baier's office being un-affordable. I went to see her twice total before I finally find myself a new doctor. First time, I saw her as a new patient for about 10 minutes, with a quick ward freeze (normally cost $10 in my previous physician's office). She charged my insurance $525, for which I owe $115. The second time, I had a cough after a flu. She prescribed me an inhaler and a nasal spray that cost $150, while there are so many other OTC options that are 1/5 or less of the price. Besides, I am not impressed with her bedside manner. In you due diligence looking for a general care provider, there are other options.

Pros: Dr. Baier is great. She is kind, listens, communicates well, has always provided accurate diagnoses and excellent referrals when needed. Best Dr. I have ever had and I have gone to her for 15 plus years. Negatives: New staff from Dignity at the front desk and office supervisor are a total nightmare. None of them belong working in customer service positions, least of all at a medical office working with people who don't feel well. Gave misinformation. Rude. Charged $103 extra dollars 'per Dignity policy' because I was a 'new' patient; I have been a patient of Dr. Baier's for 15 years. I am not sure that is even legal. Doesn't say much about Dignity and how they operate if these are the kind of people they hired to replace the excellent front desk staff that worked there previously. Pharmacy had to call an antibiotic change in to the office. They called in the morning and when they asked me to follow up at 2pm the front desk response was that the Dr. wasn't in. They just let it… sit all day with no communication to the pharmacy.

This woman is amazing. She looks concerned when she needs to, and happy when it's appropriate. This is just what I want in my doctor. She listens very very well and is super open minded. 100%.

I have been a patient of Dr. Baier's for nine years. She is awesome. I am an RN so I am very select in which MD's I feel I can trust. She sees my whole family and I have NEVER had a negative experience with her or her office staff. Wonderful MD...a true blessing to our family

I did a lot of research and I really wanted to start seeing Dr. Sandra Bebak but she was not accepting new patients at the time. I saw that her partner Mara Baier was accepting new patients. Her reviews online were not bad, so I started seeing her as my primary Dr. I was disappointed the first time I met her. She was very rushed, had no bedside manner and seemed confused at times. At a follow up visit she checked her notes and had the wrong prescription strength written down. When she said that I was wrong, I had the prescription bottle with me to prove that I was right. I am back to the drawing board, looking for a new doctor. I would not recommend her.

I met Dr Baier when she was doing her internship and was so impressed I have been w/ her since then. She treats my family and has always had nothing but compassion and understanding during every vist I have had. She has seen me on more occassions than I can count, and knows me well enough that if she has to make an exception to get me in, she does. I will stay with her as my Dr until I no longer need one. This will be never, and she has been the most caring and nurturing health care provider I have ever met.
