Dr. Mara Kathleen Linscott, MD

I had a terrible sinus infection which had spread to both ears. Told her I’’d been sick for 8 days with the infection spreading to my ears on day 4. She said she wouldn’t give me antibiotics because I’d only been sick for 4 days? Can she not do math? & I recommended I go to urgent care in person a few days later if it didn’t get better. Also suggested a Covid test and with positive results she’d prescribe antivirals. Ear infections don’t come from COVID and antivirals won’t help 8 or more days into Covid if they did. Terrible doctor. Paid $130, I feel robbed. I got antibiotics elsewhere and am finally on the mend no thanks to her.

Rude. Uncaring. Talks to you like you’re stupid. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but her bedside manner is awful. Been in healthcare my entire career and I’ve never had a physician treat me with such disrespect, and I work daily with Cardiovascular Surgeons! She has past complaints that went all the way to getting her reprimanded with the medical board. Too bad I didn’t do a simple google search first! Avoid her. Find someone who doesn’t have an arrogant chip on their shoulder.

Condescending and insecure.

She was so condescending. I have some issues including depression and she diagnosed it but made me feel like I had done something wrong and showed me how much better of a person she was. I never went back. She left the practice shortly after but it took me too long to get the courage to see another doctor for my SERIOUS health issues.

After reading the other reviews, I have come to realize that I wasn't wrong about my suspicions. She didn't like me. She would roll her eyes and get irritated if she had to repeat something. I got so angry at her that I just walked out of the exam room. I spent 15 years in the healthcare field and know what I expect out of a doctor and she failed to meet those expectations.

I moved here after living in Florida most of my life. I loved my doctors there and really believed I wouldn't find the same ease of conversation and care in MA. I was so wrong! Dr. Linscott spent quite a while with me, asking all about my health history, and even asking me to elaborate for clarification at times! She is friendly, listens well and makes you feel comfprtable and relaxed. She is Terrific!!

Very nice and down to earth.

Office staff is warm and friendly but think twice about seeing her. Maybe there is a reason she isnt in Providence anymore?
