Dr. Marc J. Dinkin, MD

It's been a long eyeball odyssey with one freak condition after another and significant vision loss, but Dr. Dinkin has been the calm in the storm and the voice of reason amidst a whole lot of conflicting opinions and dispassionate doctors. He is a friendly, caring, compassionate person and he actually takes the time to listen to his patients - which is very rare in the ophthalmology field. He is super thorough and has guided me thru a very scary journey. He also has more awards, many from his peers, than anyone I have ever encountered, which speaks volumes about how well-regarded he is. I am very grateful to him and could not recommend him more highly. His office staff, on the other hand, are another story. The woman at the front desk has a permanent chip on her shoulder and is consistently rude to every last person who walks in the door. And the techs are stoic and unfriendly, and are incredibly resistant to giving you even the most basic info about your exam - from your visual… acuity to your IOP which patients SHOULD always be aware of.

It looks like Marc Dinkin’s called viral and begged to delete old negative reviews going as far back as 2014. I am not a judgemental person by any means, but this is not a doctor that I would recommend to ANYBODY. His so-called expert knowledge when it comes to neurological disorders is questionable. If he can't figure out what's wrong with you, he will tell you that all your symptoms are of non-biological origin, basically code for he believes it's all made-up or in your head. I want people to consider what I've wrote before making an appointment. Also this post should not discourage you from any procedures at this well equipped facility.

My mother has a rare form of Alzheimer's called Posterior Cortical Atrophy which basically makes it hard for the images she sees to be converted into information in her brain. Dr. Dinkin first of all has one of the best bedside manners I've seen, second of all knew exactly how to handle my incredibly nervous mother. It turns out my mother was so nervous she was shaking & couldn't stop. Dr. Dinkin accomodated this, did a very thorough exam and made recommendations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Dr Dinkin spent a lot of time reviewing records and then fitted me for new lenses for strabismus correction that have been life-changing. I can’t say enough good things. Thank you!

I came to see Dr. Dinkin after I've seen many neuro-ophthalmologist for my daughters condition. Each doctor I went to couldnt figure out what was wrong, Dr. Dinkin gave us a CLEAR diagnosis, and explained to us how he got to this conclusion, which made us understand the problem, and treatment plan. Dr. Dinkin is the most AMAZING doctor I've seen, and recommend anyone without a clear diagnosis to see him.

Dr. Dinkin is my kind of doctor. Ultra professional, charming, and easy to understand. I was nervous about a double vision situation but he and his fabulous assistant tested me diagnosed me and put my mind at ease. I had a very successful and pleasant visit. He is now my doctor for my eye health. Thank you Dr. Dinkin.

Unfortunately, I've had to see a lot of doctors lately, but my experience with Dr Drinkin was probably the best ever. He's very thorough, compassionate, listens intently, and very competent!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Dinkin and was very impressed. I found him to be thoughtful and respectful, warm and likable; more important, however, he answered all my questions and seemed very experienced and extremely knowledgeable, as well as caring and patient. He, also, was very practical and together we worked out a "wait and see" plan of action. I could not ask for more from a doctor.

I can attest that Dr. Dinkin is a highly-skilled and talented physician who devotes a great deal of time for his patients. In addition to his remarkable bedside manner, Dr. Dinkin is a very knowledgeable physician who has an incredible ability to explain medicine in simple terms, regardless of how complex a patient's condition may be. Nevertheless, Dr. Dinkin is relentless in his pursuit to learn more about a patient and provide the best care possible. He will go above and beyond to make his patients feel at ease. He is more than just a doctor. Throughout my recovery, Dr. Dinkin was extremely supportive and encouraged me to exceed my expectations.

My son sees Dr. D every year for a complex visual problem. Dr. Dinkin is superb in his handling of our case. He has the best bedside manner I have ever seen and is extremely generous with his time. The office is very busy and there is a lot of waiting time. However, the doctor himself is always calm and kind, as if you are the only patient in the world. His residents all say he is a super teacher and kind mentor.
