Dr. Marc Ira Dinowitz, MD

He said insurance would not pay to help me, did I know how much the treatments cost? That I needed to wait until my hands got worse. He said that my heredity is causing my hand problems and that it should not be called a disease. Well, I still have to work and I need my hands to function correctly. So I wasted my money, and have to spend more time and money seeking help, which I do require. And no, I won't go back when my hands are disabled.

Getting an appointment was easy and convenient. Office staff were friendly and helpful with work comp paperwork questions. Dr Dinowitz was prompt, professional, and he listened to my concerns. He and I discussed a course of action that was workable for both and greatly appreciated.

I can not rate Dr Dinowitz because I never saw him. I originally called the office in late August regarding a growth on my thumb joint. Dr Dinowitz had come highly recommended by a few neighbors. I was told then that I could see a PA in mid September. At this point I stated that I would prefer to see the Doctor, His next available appt. was October 16th, so I booked that appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the office staff was polite, and I was taken right back to an exam room only to be greeted by Dr. Dinowitz PA. After consulting with the doctor, she came back and said he would like an x-ray. The tech took me back to take two x-rays of my thumb. The PA came back into the exam room and told me I have bones spurs in my joint causing a cyst. I never was given the opportunity to see my x-rays, and after going over my options; surgery, joint fusion or drainage. And the PA consulting with the doctor it was decided the best thing to do was to drain the cyst. Never once… did Dr. Dinowitz come in and even introduce himself. Moral of the story if you are fine with seeing a PA then this place is for you, I however prefer doctors.

Extremely knowledgeable, exactly what a person wants in their Doctor. Long wait time, but worth the wait!

My experience with Dr Dinowitz’ & the OrthoAz office staff is always positive. Everyone is friendly, caring and efficient. Dr. Dinowitz listens carefully, offers options, and answers all questions. I highly recommend him and the entire office staff.

Dr. Dinowitz has performed trigger finger release surgery on four of my fingers over the years. He is an awesome surgeon. He is so kind and puts you at ease. He thoroughly explains the procedure, downtime and recovery. The office staff is top notch too! I moved to Tucson last year, but continue to drive up to the valley when I need help with my hands. It is worth the drive to stay under the care of a such an excellent surgeon!

Dr. Denowitz is great! You never feel rushed, he answers all your questions and makes sure you understand the diagnosis and next steps. I have been his patient for 10 years.

Dr. Dinowitz is an outstanding surgeon. He is also a kind and patient human being. I was very reticent and nervous about having the thumb anthroplasty surgery. In fact it took me almost two years to make the decision. I never once felt pushed to have surgery or admonished for my numerous questions. Once I made the decision Dr. Dinowitz was truthful about how the recovery would be and to be honest the recovery has been better than I ever expected. I am over the moon with my result.

He's a really good doctor. He listens and he remembers things you told him before so if ever I have a hand problem, I would only go to him.
