Dr. Marc Franklin Jones VIII, MD

I feel that I am in the best possible medical hands with Dr. Jones. His personal interest, level of caring and expertise create a wonderful atmosphere for treatment. I have had a very serious eye infection that could have led to blindness. When I started working with Dr. Jones I knew immediately that I was in the hands of the best. My recommendation is very enthusiastic. The promptness issue may seem like a negative aspect of working with him but he is in demand and every moment I have had to wait for him translated in to being worth it because of the level of care.

Dr. Jones is great. He is the most personable and professional doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He has treated me for years for Fuchs' dystrophy and did cornea transplants on both eyes. He did the newest partial transplant procedure and my vision is immensely improved. I felt at ease during the whole process and I always feel he has the time to answer my questions. He truly cares about his patients. I have had all my family go to him and he has even performed laser vision correction on my daughter and granddaughter with great success. I feel blessed to have found him.

Hands down one of the most knowledgeable, caring and talented doctors I've ever dealt with. He put me at ease throughout my lasik surgery experience and made me confident I would never trust my eyes to another doctor. I had visited 3 other establishments before I met Dr Jones and there was no doubt he was the doctor for me. Far more professional and concerned than the others.

I have a chronic auto-immune disease. My eyes are greatly effected. Dr. Jones was my second visit to this facility in Kent. I would never have had anything done by the other lead doctor. He was god-like and rude, and I felt he wanted to rush me into something not safe for my eyes, Lasik, both eyes. He just made me so nervous by his commanding style. I went back, due to another doctor's recommendation, to see Dr. Marc Jones. First in the door and he was a gentleman, and a first rate doctor, as I checked him out on the Internet, and by other's who had known him, and had only praise for him. I agree! He did my surgery, and due to Sjogren's it had a burning sensation with the medical drops, but I am so fine now, it was worth it. I use my lubricating drops, 10-15 minutes for forty years. My eyes are extremely dry. This professional doctor, is five stars, in expertise and quality as a human.

Dr. Jones helped to direct me to get the medical attention that I needed. I was a new patient with an emergency visit. (My pupils were dilating differently.) I had an uncommon condition (Horner's Syndrome) and he knew to direct me to get a CT scan to find out the cause. I ended up having a carotid artery dissection. Thankfully, it was caught in time before it got even worse. My family and I are truly thankful for Dr. Jones' knowledge, expertise and his level of concern during this situation.

I found my way to Dr. Jones after seeing several ophthalmologists. Before I met him, I had an unfortunate complication with my cataract surgery (done by a doctor I will refrain from naming). After the surgery, my vision was much worse and my was painful. I was told that they were unable to put a lens implant in my eye and that my cornea had become swollen and cloudy. I continued with this doctor for sometime but he really didn't offer me hope of improved vision. I later saw an eye surgeon at University Hospital in Cleveland who actually referred me back near home to Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones was wonderful. He explained in very understandable terms my problem and recommended a lens implant sutured inside the eye combined with a corneal transplant. I understood it was a complicated surgery with the risk that things may not improve. However, within a week I was already seeing better and as my transplant has healed my vision is so much better. Needless to say, I elected to have Dr. Jones… perform the cataract surgery in my other eye. No complications and great vision! I want to thank Dr. Jones for all he has done to restore my sight. In addition, he has a very comforting bedside manner. We are lucky to have such a talented surgeon in our area. From what I can tell he's the doctor all the other eye doctors around refer to.

Dr Jones has got to be one of my fav drs ever! It's actually been a couple of years since I dealt w/ him with an emergency situation but just found this website and HAD TO provide a review. This practice is very well-known in the field and I believe most of the drs have taught/written for journals,etc. Dr Jones has the nicest personality...almost surprises you because he is so attentive and 'present' during his time with you. His smile just makes you smile! He was very good at explaining what was occuring w/ my eye (mac degen) and explained in lay-man terms the different options available to me. I found out he is bi-lingual....speaking fluent spanish which I think is wonderful! I wish my family physician would take 'bed-side manner' lessons from Dr Jones!

Very nice personality and found him very professinal and was very acurate in finding what my problem was. He performed surgery and my problem that other doctors couldn't find, was gone.
