Dr. Marc Harold Levy, MD

Was told to take selenium and come back in 3 months to address significant double vision assumed to be connected to thyroid despite no thyroid history and no bloodwork ordered. When I challenged his diagnosis and treatment, he became indignant, annoyed, and unhelpful and said “well i can give you steroids but you don’t want that” in a tone I interpreted as threatening and confrontational. Dr.’s notes said the double vision did not impact my daily life when I expressly told the doctor that it did and provided details for how it did. Most importantly, I read for a living. i went to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and in six hours thyroid issues ruled out, I was diagnosed, and treatment scheduled for what this doctor could not identify or properly treat in five months. Not impressed. Not going back. And pretty angry that his diagnosis and treatment caused me to live with significant double vision for five months longer than I needed to. Perhaps he is ok for very simple routine matters. I don’t… know. For any non-routine issue, I would find a different doctor.

I have wet AMD in both eyes and he is very patient when I get injections in my eyes, (I am very nervous) Since I switched to Dr Levy he has made me feel much calmer about the procedure. I would definitely refer him to my friends

I am patient for at least the past seven years - glaucoma, and - now - cataracts - I find him as very attentive and will not rush you into surgery. True, the wait times can be long, but what's the rush - unless there is an emergency!!

Horrible bedside manner. His way of diagnosing me was shoving his finger into my head and asking if it hurt. I could not stand him from the first time I met him, but I did see some improvement with the injections I was receiving so I tried to be patient. When he asked whether or not I was pregnant at one visit and I said "no", he asked how I knew for sure. "I'm not sexually active. I haven't had sex." I had responded. Instead of going on about the appointment, he instead berated me for saying the word sex and told me it was a disgusting way of saying that and he didn't need to know. His poor nurse Sunny is always looking embarrassed to even work for him. She was constantly apologizing after he left the room for his behavior. After the 4th visit and realizing there was no real progress in my condition, that we were only masking the pain, I left the office and never looked back!

Horrible, horrible treatment. Came in looked at me and said, I know the problem. Before I knew it a nurse was shoving consent forms in front of me and saying hurry, the doctor will be back soon. He came in and shot the back of my head with huge needles. My head was numb for about 12 hours. I WOULD CAUTION ANY ONE TO AVOID THIS GUY!

Dismissive, rushed, impatient.

Dr Levy is a very caring and understanding physician. He listens to his patients and takes all the time necessary to help you understand what the problem is. Thank you Dr Levy for giving so much to your patients.

Dr. Levy, in my judgment, is an outstanding practitioner, whom I wouldhave no difficulty or hesitation in recommending to my friends and acquaintances. His every action is highly professional, and his personality and demeanor are exemplary.

Dr. Levy is the best there is. I got right in to see him and he helped me out when nobody else was able to. Thank you Dr. Levy!
