Dr. Marc Jay Schoenbrun

Dr. Schoenbrun is a very thorough doctor. He really cares about all of his patients and is quite affable. I would bring my children to him but sadly, he retired :(

I'm 19 and I was a patient of Dr. Schoenbrun from birth until age 12 when I moved out of state. His negligence with my health caused major problems in my life. My tonsils needed to come out when I was 6. Dr. Schoenbrun said they need to come out, but he wouldn't do it because I was chubby and he didn't want me to gain weight from the surgery. I would have much rather gained 30 pounds from surgery than gain 180 pounds from complications over the following 13 years. Now, I'm almost 20 and I'm having my tonsils taken out next week because I finally found a competent doctor.Dr. Schoenbrun's negligence of this problem led to severe daily migraines, obstructive sleep apnea, frequent throat infections, moderate hearing loss, misdiagnosis of mental illness that led to unnecessary treatment that destroyed my liver. Every doctor I've seen this year said that once my tonsils come out, my migraines will stop, I'll actually sleep and breathe all night instead of stopping 7 times an hour, I will… never get tonsillitis again, and I will feel less rundown and tired and that would help me mentally. But, sadly, all the complications led to mistreatment and abuse from other doctors and now I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.All I ever think about is how if Dr. Shoenbrun actually did his job, I would be healthy and I wouldn't have come close to death twice in two weeks by the hand of a Psychiatrist that I never needed.He also ignored that my hemoglobin level was low when I was 8 and I was becoming anemic. I lived with the symptoms until I was 17 and it got so severe that I passed out in school. After 2 years of Iron pills, my iron isn't getting better and have to start Iron infusions in 2 weeks.Only if Dr. Schoenbrun nipped that in the bud 11 years ago.I didn't give much detail because some stuff is private. Dr. Schoenbrun didn't do his job as my doctor for 12 years. His lack of professionalism ruined my life. He may not care. He doesn't have to live with the consequences of his mistakes. I do.
