Dr. Marc Weissbluth

Dr. Marc Weissbluth did immense damage to my family by recommending the inappropriate and crazy Booty Camp potty training program for our 10-year-old with encopresis. His initial missteps were followed by continued refusals to remedy the situation.

Dr. Marc Weissbluth has helped us through many large and small problems over the years. He is always professional and compassionate. Even when I ask what seem to be somewhat lame questions, he never addressed me in anything but a respectful, educational manner, he never talked down to me, and I appreciate that! The office staff and other pediatricians, are true professionals. I highly recommend this Dr. Marc Weissbluth and this practice!

This practice charges $25 if you call them for consultation....and your insurance will not cover for that.......I guess the next step will be to tip a doctor !!!!That is outrageous. Physicians don't know what is the Hydromorphone ( Dilaudid )-drug that is widely used everywhere, they also have never heard for Zolpidem and pregnancy related issues and had to search the Internet and came back with some quite incompetent and vague answer.They are only good for basic (to measure height and weight of your child) but for the well being of your child do not go there.... beside most of them are not doctors but nurse practitioners.Stuff is so rude and unpleasant .......

We've been patients of Dr. Weissbluth for a long time and have never been disappointed. The staff has been very helpful and responsive. Dr. Weissbluth also has excellent referrals if you need a specialist. We've been very happy with his care for our children, and would highly recommend him!

My wife gave birth to our baby at Northwestern Prentice Hospital. Leading up to her giving birth we took classes at Prentice, hosted by Northwestern Children's Practice. We even scheduled a prenatal visit to the Children's Practice to ensure we liked to doctors. The receptionist informed us our insurance didn't cover the prenatal visit, but failed to inform us they were not in our insurance network at all, including for regular visits. I admit we failed to check they were in our network, but the NW Children's Practice never informed us, either. We even had three check-ups with them after the prenatal. It wasn't until the day before our two-month-old son was scheduled to get his first round of immunizations....never a fun time any parent looks forward to...that the office manager bothered to call us and inform us they were not in our network. She calmly told us we could still get our son's immunizations at their office, but they would cost $900!!!!! We had to scramble to find a… clinic to get his immunizations (call us crazy, we didn't want our son to contract some fatal disease). They have since billed us for all previous visits since our insurance will not pay a cent. I asked the office manager why she didn't inform us earlier....since she had over THREE months to verify our insurance, and she curtly replied that is was our responsibility. I admit and agree we made a mistake, but the way their office manager handled it was complete crap. Since then I have written a letter to the head doctor (Dr. Weissbluth, a.k.a. The Sleep Doctor...this guy is probably a millionaire for all the books he has sold) suggested we should have to pay, since we already paid the prenatal visit out-of-pocket, and we should have been informed after that appointment, not three months later. I have yet to receive a reply, and our debt has been sent to a collection agency. The fact they have absolutely failed to admit any error on their part, or to apologize for any stress caused has led me to believe they that even if they were in our network, I would not entrust them with my child.
