Dr. Marcel Alexander Goldberg, MD

I had a tubal ligation 7 years ago, a verified pick up of Depo Provera from my pharmacist 10 weeks ago (for cessation of periods due to fibroid bleeding, not for contraception), an ultrasound for the fibroids 10 days ago, and I'm spotting because my periods don't fully stop even with the injection, but Dr. Goldberg still wanted to charge me for a pregnancy test for my Depo injection. He isn't even my doctor. My doctor is in the same office. I switched to a different doctor because I do not like Dr. Goldberg. I have lost 30 pounds by starting a diet and exercise program two years ago. I have also started a weight lifting program which put some of that weight back on. However, I'm still leaner than before. But Dr. Goldberg was adamant about recommending diet and exercise. Even though I explained to him that I do he doesn't see anything but the number on my chart. And when I do talk about my exercising, he just nods and says uh-huh and then recommends again that I start!?!? What is that?… He has a derogatory manner about him. I feel like I'm being talked down to with him and he doesn't listen, he just preaches. He's terrible.

Dr Goldberg Is always on time for my appointments. He is always patient discussing my questions until I fully understand. Recommendations are clear and fit my ailments. I am very satisfied with the care I receive from Dr Goldberg and his staff.

Dr. Goldberg has been the PCP for me and my wife for about 2 years (since we moved to Idaho). He pursued a minor abnormality in a routine lab (for my wife) that resulted in a diagnosis of renal cancer; he could very easily have passed over the abnormality. For my part, other than annual physicals, I have visited Dr. Goldberg once - that being for lingering shoulder pain. His staff presents as very cordial and professional. The wait was very short and well within what I considered to be reasonable. The exam was through and my major concern (possible torn rotator cuff) was put to rest during the exam. The wait times for an appointment is a bit more than I like but not unreasonable. Dr. Goldberg will continue to be my PCP.

Previous Doctor I had was Dr. Eastman and never had issues. I should have done better reasearch into doctors that have a history of treating diabetic patients. Dr. Goldberg made it known several times to me that he doesn't treat diabetics and didn't look comfortable treating me. It made visits awkward and uncomfortable. I have made appointments with the diabetes center there in Meridian and currently searching for a doctor with experience in treating patients with diabetes. I know doctors never want to turn away patients, but if I had a doctor who isn't familiar with treating my disease, I would prefer they recommend me to a doctor who does. It would make doctor appointments less awkward and uncomfortable for both doctor and patient.

I can't say enough about Dr Goldberg and his team . They have helped me manage a variety of health issues. Dr Goldberg always has time to listen to my symptoms . His diagnosis and treatment for each issue over the years has proven to be the best path. I would highly recommend Dr Goldberg to any one.
