Dr. Newman is originally from Chile and grew up in Venezuela. She earned her dental degree from Central University of Venezuela in 1997 and shortly thereafter came to the States to enroll in the Masters program at the University of Michigan. She studied Psychology while studying for her dental degree in Venezuela. She applies this training to her every day practice helping patients cope with the stress and anxiety normally associated with visiting the dentist.
After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2001, Dr. Newman practiced in Ann Arbor for 5 years in a private general practice. She moved to Florida in 2009 looking for sunshine and warmer weather.
Her practice focuses on prevention andpatient education. She places the needs and concerns of the patients first and encourages patients to ask questions and understand reasons why procedures are necessary.
