I recently had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Helguera and I could not have been more impressed. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my options thoroughly and with great clarity. His calm, thoughtful approach gave me confidence and reassurance at a time when I needed it most. It’s clear that Dr. Helguera is not only a highly skilled physician but also someone who truly cares about his patients. I had an upsetting and extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Helguera. He emphasized that ablation for SVT had a very high success rate and very low risk, especially with modern machines. Instead, the procedure failed, I suffered a stroke, and my heart is now in far worse condition than it was before— both quantitatively and qualitatively. Critical safety steps, like timely ACT monitoring, were delayed or missing during the procedure. Key documentation, such as timestamps for high-risk steps, was also absent, making it impossible to verify whether proper protocols were followed. Additionally, his follow-up care was extremely delayed and poor, leaving me with no clarity or reassurance about the outcome. I cannot recommend him, nor the hospital, to anyone.

1. He hates women, interrupted every time I spoke. Ignored me constantly. Gor my information wrong over and over, even though I tried correcting him. 2. Rude. 3. Zero compassion. 4. Snobby 5. Condescending He's a pig.

Was decent until he made a misogynistic comment. Do not go to him if you're a female.

Had complex friblations, rapid, irregular and flutter. After 2 ablation procedures, my hear tis 100% normal. Very excellent Dr. Very knowledgeable.

This is the worst doctor I have ever come across in my life. He told me that years of testing I have done in the past were no true by listening to my heart for less than 10 seconds. He had no idea of what my diagnosis was and had to ask a guy who does ultrasounds and then said that all those tests showed no evidence of anything wrong me. Doesn't listen nor care for patients. Disrespectful, mean, condescending, don't waste your time. He is worthless!

I have been seeing Dr. Helguera for ten years. He has impressed me with his bedside manner, knowledge, and ability to communicate. Unlike other doctors, he takes the time to discuss the issues and to explain what the problem is and what can be done about it. He has gone out of his way to help me with certain medical issues outside his area, suggesting I get a second opinion and making arrangements for it, which probably saved me from a disaster. I feel like he is concerned about me and that I am in good hands.

doctor did not hurry and explained everything to me. Operation went beautifully. I should have done it sooner.
