Marcelo hung up on me 3 minutes into our first video visit because I had the audacity to ask if it would be possible to schedule afternoon appointments in the future to work around prior time constraints. I was immediately told that I have a terrible attitude, and when I conveyed my sincere shock as to how the interaction got so hostile so fast, he accused me of having "no objective self-awareness", then of gaslighting him, and then he hung up while I was mid-sentence. Maybe it was too late in the date for him to muster up the ability to feign compassion, maybe he had a terrible day, or maybe I am truly an awful person and Marcelo is just such a great judge of character that he could tell I wasn't worth his time - and therefore should be kicked out of a group that was supposed to last for 12 weeks - all within 2 minutes of meeting me. While I obviously firmly believe it isn't the last option, even if it was - does this sound like the kind of maturity, patience, or general competence… you'd want from your healthcare professional?
