Dr. Marcio Santiago Curvelo, MD

Dr. Curvelo gained his medical degree at UFRGS School of Medicine, Porto Alegre, Brazil in 1997. He completed a general surgery internship and diagnostic radiology residency in Long Island, NY at Nassau University Medical Center (a major affiliate of SUNY Stony Brook). Dr. Curvelo completed a vascular and interventional radiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital. He was then invited to join the staff at Mass General and was appointed instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Curvelo is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Curvelo has written or contributed to several refereed publications in radiology journals, and made numerous presentations for both clinical education and research symposia as well as national and international medical meetings. He has been involved in IVC filter, Venous Access and Tumor embolization research trials.
