Dr. Marcos Modiano Esquenazi, MD

I've seen 3 psychiatrists over the years (including Dr. Modiano) and Dr. Modiano is by far the best. He takes to time listen instead of just giving you medication and sending you on your way. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and suggests other coping mechanisms aside from medication only.

Lies and is clearly unknowledgeable. Poor responsiveness to concerns. Uncaring and uncompassionate.

Dr Modiano is not just medication management. He takes the time to chat with you about how you're feeling and any additional help you may need. He's by far, the best psychiatrist I've had. It's very uncomfortable with other psych that rush you through a 15-minute medication management appointment.

If you want an awesome guy and really laid back and cool then go for this doc. If you need scripts filled or have a complex diagnosis then do not see him. To return your calls it takes 3 calls and 3 to 4 days. Does not keep good records. Does not know your case well. Really cool and have knowledge but anything beyond your appointment is unreliable. Been seeing him for over half a year. I get my meds. He talks. We don't make changes because I'm afraid he won't call in meds or call wrong ones or forget. So it's just medication management with few changes and no complexity than he will be great.

Really nice guy. Very friendly and I think has a fairly good knowledge of medicine. When it comes to being organized he is not good. Very long wait times getting back to you. Doesn't listen or at least doesn't retain information you give. Asks same questions and gets defensive when he is wrong. For example, is not prompt when needing refill. Sends drugs to wrong pharmacy. Doesn't listen to messages. Argumentative when it comes to something he has not done. Will not admit to wrong doing. Not effective in billing appropriately. Has seen me once on short notice. If he actually remembered patients or kept track then he'd be good. But has caused so many problems just simply by not listening that I have missed refills and medications etc...if you had meds you take regularly and none are controlled and you just need a doctor to sign a refill then see him. If you have a more complicated case or addiction etc...please help yourself by seeing another doctor. Perhaps Fabian Carbonell(sp?) The med… director for st joes. Modiano is great guy. Just needs a secretary, some decent notes, and a sense of urgency and admitting to mistakes.
