Dr. Margaret Mercer Pfister, MD

Dr. Margaret Pfister is the best dr you can ever have. She spends her time with me answers all the questions I have. Had my daughter 6 yrs ago and she made me feel very comfortable I'm pregnant again and I would not want to have a different dr. Than her. She is the best dr and I would n did recommended her to others. Thank you dr. :-)

Dr. Pfister listens well and examines not only you but your questions in order to give you a better understanding of what is happening. She is gentile and patient. She performed surgery & was always available to me with questions no matter how many I had. She was in to see me before surgery and many many times after just to check in on my mental status. Very kind person!

terrible bedside manner. when i was 9 months pregnant, she told me I had the best stretch marks she'd seen in a while - just what I needed to hear. She told me my baby was no more than 8 pounds so no need to do a c-section or induce me on my due date. Instead, she let me go a week over-due. She had the nurses induce labor at 8:00 a.m. I pushed for 3 HOURS before she even came to the hospital. Then she showed me the suction tube, gave me a 3rd degree episiotomy and used suction to get the baby out. Turns out my daughter was 10 lbs! Luckily, the baby was fine and healthy, but my body will never recover. After the "doctor" was done stitching me up, she shook my hand and walked out. She never called to see how I was doing. Needless to say, I switched doctors and the birth of my son was much more pleasant and the doctor was by my side all day.If you want a pleasant, safe pregnancy and birth, do not have Margaret Pfister as your OB!
