Dr. Margaret W. Reiker

Dr. Reiker is patient, compationate, she makes you feel like you are her only patient. She listens and doesn't throw a fit if you don't agree with something. If there is a problem with insurance, she takes the time to work it out. I have never met a Dr. With better bedside manners. I don't know how she does it all. Seeing other doctors makes me appreciate her so much more.

But she must 'play favorites' for I wouldn't recommend her for my pet bird, that is how unknowledgeable she is. A co-worker recommended her but after the so-worker had a bad blood test and panicked, this doctor got frustrated and said ''maybe you have an anxiety problem" Wow so professional, we have both since moved on.

I did not stick around long, it seems she is all over as far as patient satisfaction- reading other reviews I wonder why she told me I took up my timeslot (???)she had other patients to see etc IN MY OPINION? I would rather each individual get the care they NEED AND NOT BE RUSHED I would not mind the wait. This tells me she is more concerned about the money aspect - ie get as many people in/out who cares how they feel.

had her as a doc for almost 20 years one - she is one TO NOT BE TRUSTED AT ALL. she will say one thing to your face and turn around and write ALL KINDS OF 'NON-FACTS' in your chart. she rarely knows how/what to do so she ALWAYS wants to ship you off rather than TRY. had her thru 2 bad injuries/ ER said to follow up with her- (these things bore her or something woman has NO EMPATHY) SHE CAN TAKE SIMPLE ANXIETY AND CALL YA CRAZY. well what she did to me was treat me like a bad dog at a vet, dismiss me from the practice after TWENTY YEARS with no warning I paid all bills, kept all visits, etc, I WAS ON A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE YOU ARE NOT TO JUST STOP COLD TURKEY - LOL SHE UP AND DITCHED ME OUT OF THE BLUE, WHEN I ASKED WHY ON EARTH SHE WOULD PUT A COUPLE VERY TROUBLESOME THINGS IN MY CHART. she also would call me by the wrong name, ask why I was there (WHEN SHE TOLD ME TO COME IN) sooooo UNETHICAL AND I WILL NEVER TRUST ANOTHER DR AGAIN. if she says "IM CONCERNED ABOUT YOU" that's… NOT TRUE.

She has moved to Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine in Creve Coeur. The phone is 432-4415. She is an excellent physician and a caring person.

Does anyone know when Margaret Reiker M.D. new office will open and where it is located?

I am very happy with Dr. Reiker. I am definitely following her to her new location, Just wish she was at the new location sooner. Worth the wait for me.

I have seen Dr. Reiker for more than eight years and have coped with her shyness and general lack of knowledge about my health and me, in general -- for example, she consistently calls me by the wrong first name. It just seemed easier to stick with her since I haven't had any real issues and changing doctors is always a challenge. Whenever something has developed over the years, she seems vague in her response and how to proceed. Today I needed to speak with her re: lab results which she had ordered. When she finally called, she was very short with me and frustrated and unsure of the results or why I had even had the lab work done. She was extremely impatient when I asked questions and I finally asked if she had to go - to which she replied, "yes!" Ultimately she suggested I see a specialist and basically re-iterated what I diagnosed (which I'm not sure is even the right diagnosis). She was abrupt when I asked for a referral and told me to call the secretary (that's another story as… the phone system in her office made me wait 40 minutes to get through and call-backs can take 48 hours). She spent a little over 5 minutes with me on the phone and I have a bleeding issue that at first she said was "a lot" and then "a little." I do not recommend Dr. Reiker. My friend, who referred her to me in the first place, has had similar experiences with her and is definitely finished with her.

Finding a caring and knowledgeable physician is difficult. I've found both with Dr. Reiker. She takes her time and explains things which I appreciate. It can be a bit difficult to get in to see her but when I've had issues needing immediate attention she makes the time. I also appreciate the fact that my longest wait has never been more than 5 or 10 minutes. I'm sticking with Dr. Reiker!
