Summary
Dr. Rose was born in London, England the child of Jamaican immigrants. After living in Boston for a short period of time, the family settled in South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South Carolina magna cum laude, and attended the Medical School of South Carolina on the College of Medicine Dean%u2019s Award. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Temple University and worked for a year as an ICU hospitalist before moving to Nashville for nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Rose was drawn to nephrology due to the disproportionate percentage of minorities with kidney disease. Her hope is that with better education and patient empowerment, kidney disease outcomes are improved for all patients.
