Dr. Margaret Virginia Sutton, PhD

In 2019, my middle school-aged son was having issues with anxiety attacks at school, and my pediatrician recommended Dr Sutton to me as someone who had worker successfully with some of his other patients. I contacted her and she ended up working with him on and off for the next 6 years, through his graduation from high school. Life took twists and turns during this time, and my husband was diagnosed with a terminal illness and ultimately passed away. Dr Sutton helped my son through his anxiety, then dealing with his father's illness, and the grief following his death. I could not have asked for a more concerned or skilled provider for my child. Dr Sutton has a lot of experience in the school environment, so was able to work with us and the school on suggesting strategies and accommodations to help my son succeed. She was an excellent listener and gave my son a compassionate ear as well as concrete ways to help him process his anxiety and grief, which she adjusted over the years as my… child matured and changed. Dr Sutton has continuously expressed genuine concern and care for my son as well as my whole family. With her help, my son is now living away from home and is excelling in all ways at college. I feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to work with Dr Sutton.
