Dr. Margaret Catherine Turner, MD

Dr. Turner saw my child recently for a same day appt. I was at work, and wasn't able to make it, but my husband took our son instead. I told my husband to call me during my son's appt. so that I could ask the questions that I wanted. While on the phone with Dr. Turner, I felt like she was "short," irritated, and rude. She didn't say anything rude, but it was the tone of her voice that made me believe she had horrible bedside manner. She spoke to me over the phone as if she had an attitude. After arriving home that evening I spoke with my husband about Dr. Turner, and he told me that she was rude. He felt the same way I did. We both can't be wrong! I was at work, and my husband was actually there, and we came away with the same impression. My husband said that when he mentioned to Dr. Turner that he had to call his wife, she made a face as if she were bothered. He also said that while I was on the phone with her, she rolled her eyes. I told my husband that I felt like she… was talking "at" me; not talking to me. My husband said that while he was in the office, he couldn't tell if I was talking on the other end or not because she seemed like she wouldn't even pause to give me a chance to speak. My husband also mentioned that the clinic/office was not busy at all. As a matter of fact, he said they were the only ones in there. My concerns about my son were not addressed to my satisfaction, and I will never see her again. Although we had a bad experience with her, the other doctors we've seen so far, including the Nurse Practitioners have been great, but there's always one bad apple. I usually don't complete reviews, but I felt so disappointed by this experience I had to do it. Also, I'd just like to mention that I'm a nurse myself, so not only am I busy at work, but I have to put on a happy face and have good bedside manner for my patients at all times. Is it so wrong for me to expect the same when I'm receiving care for my child?

She has a great way with the kids. She has been their doctor for over 5 years and they all like her very much.
